First Timer

Hey all. I've wanted to build a PC for myself for a long time and I've recently began my research. Just so you know I am a complete novice and I havent a clue where to start and what to look for. I want something high end that I will not need to upgrade for years. 1TB drive & 16GB RAM comes to mind but after that I am lost.
Where do I start and what advise can you give me? Please keep the technical jargon simple as I really am clueless. Lol

1. What is your budget? €700-€800

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming, video research

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes , Windows 7 premium

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No.

5. Do you need a monitor? Yes, large HD

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Keyboard & Mouse

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? I dunno what this is!

8. How can you pay? Credit card/Debit card, PayPal, Bank Transfer, Cash.

9. When are you purchasing? Hopefully soon when suitable device found

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Monaghan

I probably will need a monitor. I don't think herself would be best pleased if I were to take over the tv.

Couldn't fit an SSD due to needing a monitor, but you can add one in whenever you want to. 256gb is about €100 fyi.
1tb storage, 8gb ram is loads. Good GPU, shouldn't need to upgrade it for a little while.

Shout if you can't stretch at all, I'll try get total below 800, not recommended though, already scrimping a little

Yeah that's all you need, aside from a Philips screwdriver, but we won't budget that Yeah though, that's all you need, should handle everything you throw at it at ultra, or close to it at 60fps+ for 2-3 years. Then you can lower settings, or upgrade GPU and pull another few years out of it.
