Can I add additional wifi homeplug when already using 2?

I have fibre broadband and currently use 2 homeplugs upstairs, one for a PC and one for PS3 (not used too often)

The router is at the main socket and is not directly plugged in to a PC or anything, it's mostly WIFI except for the PC upstairs which is connected through a homeplug.

I want to improve the wifi signal upstairs and was wondering if I can get one of the tplink wifi extenders and also plug that in upstairs to improve the signal.

Would this work? Are there limitations to how many of these homeplugs that can be used?
