First leg is likely to be away but don't care I booked Glasgow for the 20th Feb for a tenner :D

Brilliant. We didn't start the game well at all especially at the back where the change of formation was causing problems, but to regain composure and impose ourselves on the rest of the game like that was very impressive. The second half we hounded them and had several chances to score on the counter attack before we got that fully deserved winner. Some great saves again from Forster.

Qualified with two games to spare. Outstanding from Lenny and his team.

Wow what a performance by Celtic. The way we started those first 10 minutes I thought it was going to be a long night but as we have done a few times already this season this team has some real character and mental toughness to it. By the time we got the equalizer we fully deserved it. Then the second half I flat out through we were the better team. Sure they had some chances and Forster made some good saves but we had more and better chances and really I thought we fully deserved the win over the 90 minutes. A truly great and historic European night and victory for the club. Absolutely brilliant.

Anyone off here know if the Magners sponsorship deal for Celtic is likely to be renewed as the current deal runs out at the end of this season?

Spent the afternoon trying to get stream for this but no joy. Would happily pay to watch these home games, madness that they only on the TV outside the UK and Ireland.

Forrest showing absolutely sublime technique for the 3rd goal.

Think I'm starting to warm to Lennon!

Rodgers is abroad in Leicester taking credit for Celtic's current form in his own head! :pac:

Forrest only 15 goals away from the 100 club. Only hartson and Larsson have done it in recent times.

Rogic with a wonderful pick-out for that goal also.

Agree 100%. I'd happily pay for home games from Celtic TV. Should be available for those outside the UK at least.

Great to see Griffiths back also, hopefully he can get a bit of form going.

Was good to see Griffiths get some time off the bench as well. He looked very rusty but we need him to give cover for Edouard so that was important as well as what was a very good all round performance highlighted by brilliant finishes by Edouard for the first and Forrest for the third and another superb performance from young Frimpong at right back.

Green Brigade Section closed for this Thursday's match.

Can't say I blame them, there's no need for the Pyros and the GB are well aware of the Clubs position on this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,294 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

No great surprise, the GB bring some flair and atmosphere to games but they are actually quite arrogant in that they seem to think they can do what they want without any consequences or accountibility for their actions

Wish I could disagree and I am a fan of the Green Brigade in general but I can't your spot on there. Their continual disregard with the pyro is as you said arrogance. That needs to stop period end of story no excuses. Pyro has no place in a football stadium.

When you repeatedly do something that you are warned there will be consequences for, you can’t complain when there are consequences.

Celtic were charged with Anti Lazio chants and banner V Lazio (Nothing else as per UEFA Charge sheet)

Any fan who was in the ground singing **** LAZIO, has got Celtic a fine not just the GB!

Not sure what UEFA have to do with this. The club have been warning the GB about the use of pyro for the last few months. You keep pushing and your gonna get push back.

Christie needs to be switched at half time. One foul away from a red.

Great result and looks like top of the group with a game to go. A lot of credit to Forster for that, the big man oozing with confidence. Griffiths almost scoring also. Impressed with Bauer also.

Didn't even play the best today but never in doubt.

No question about it. He went through Morgan to get the ball definite PK. Maybe the ref was auditioning for some work with the SFA!

What a great night again on Thursday and some more really good performances all over the park. Credit to Morgan up top as well. I must admit I was not expecting much when I saw him starting up top but he had a very good game and took his goal superbly like a genuine striker attacking that near post area. Another good performance from Greg Taylor at left back was good to see as well showing we have both depth and competition now at left back. Tremendous achievement to top the group with a game to spare in what was a tough looking group at the outset to qualify from at all. But instead Celtic have gone out and dominated the group. The fact that we have such a busy run of games in December now gets helped a bit as we will at least be able to send a second string team to play the final group game in Romania.

Christie scores the rebound after the Ross County parries the penalty. Morgan was cleaned out for the peno and was actually well spotted by one of the officials

    https://streamable.com/qjk0z

Well that was dreadful defending that allows Ross County to equalise

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,294 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

Christie makes it 1-2. Also looked like a push on Rogic for the Ross County goal

Rangers with a big win and were top by a single goal more scored. Do we think this season is going to be decided on Old Firm derbys?
