Decent jersey other than the sponsor. I know sponsor logos rarely look great but that one is particularly rubbish

    The sponsor is awful.

Last bought a first team jersey about 3/4 seasons ago when the Celtic site had a glitch and you could get the sponsorless version for £17 with a free Celtic towel :D

Towel was the worst thing in the world though.

I havnt bought a jersey in a while doubt I'll get this. The training gear though does be class. Seema black Adidas top with green trim and four leaf clover where the crest is. Will defo get that

I like it. Will be an iconic one if they go to do 10 in a row in it.

Like the look of that. Simple classy look. No messing around with our hoops. Will probably get that one hopefully a sponsorless version.

Didn't we offload him to Dundalk in the end?

I think the New Balance deal runs to the end of June so I'd say 1st July

Right if Forster isn't coming full time move on and get a keeper in quickly, same for a couple of defenders and a striker. No bloody waiting until halfway through the champions league qualifers. The money is there to spend 10-15 million.

As long as its not joe hart. Also you have no idea what money is there. Very unusual for celtic to spend that money in a good year never mind this covid year

100%, and no idea when fans can get back into the ground which is another source of income gone.

Are you for real. Of course they have the money. New Adidas deal, Uefa money etc.. Few players off the payroll recently. Buy the players and get into the Champions League.

I can’t be the only one who finds it all a bit of an anti-climax. The training gear looks ok, the home shirt looks nice (minus the sponsor) but that black away shirt is horrendous. I saw it leaked before and didn’t think it was real! Horrible.

Where are you seeing the Jerseys ? Didn't think they were realised yet. I can only see a few training tops

And if a second wave comes? Keep paying a massive wage bill with no income. I'll leave it to Neil and Peter. They're doing a semi-decent job so far.

People are still buying season tickets, alright I'm not saying go mad and over spend but threre is a lot of money in the bank. This is probably the most important season in 30 years. As i said 10-15 million at least. Eddie will be sold next season as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭henke

No to Joe Hart. Was once a good keeper but his form has fallen off a cliff and I don't think he's getting it back at this stage.

Last I heard season ticket sales were over 40,000 so if things keep going as they have from a financial standpoint we could be pretty close to where we would be in normal conditions which would be pretty remarkable.

Looks like David Marshall might be available too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,774 ✭✭✭eire4

Reading between the lines of the Clubs thanking the supporters today and from what I know it looks like when all is said and done we will end up with all 53,000 season tickets sold which would be a remarkable feat given the circumstances.

Anyone know what the story with this dude is? The President of Albania. He literally just tweets about Celtic all day everyday. Obviously a huge fan, I wonder what the connection is.

Take a look at Ilir Meta (@ilirmetazyrtar): https://twitter.com/ilirmetazyrtar?s=09

Celtic played a euro preliminary fixture in Albania last year and Mr meta got hooked. Lots of videos of him socialising with fans, and yeah he tweets about Celtic most days!

Would it not be because of Rudi Vata?

    New shirt launch today.

    http://www.celticfc.net/news/18307

I like it. I see on the official store they are selling a sponsorless version too. Tempted to get that one.

So Celtic are now supplied by Adidas, one of the largest iconic sports brands in the world and synonymous with football. Rangers also changed to some startup outfit who kit out Andy Murray :D. Shows the difference in the level of the two clubs :D.

The goalkeeper kit is horrendous. Definitely no hope of keeping Fraser now :)

Andy Murray is an investor. He wears it to advertise it, he doesn't get paid for it :D:D

You won't see the Real Madrid's Man Uniteds Bayern Munichs Juventus and Celtics of this world kitted out by then :D.

The Nice friendly is half time and Celtic are 1-0 down

Celtic started well and scored a perfectly good early goal which was inexplicably ruled offside by VAR (the Nice defender passed it through and Edouard gets the ball to round the keeper). Celtic then slacked and allowed Nice back in and they scored near the end of the half when their striker waltzed across the defence with a number of players doing a comical impression of defenders

BTW, that new jersey is fantastic although do not like the big white patch on the back

Yeah I was in love with the Jersey till I saw the back. Look even more ridiculous with no number or name on it.

The one you would be buying would not look like that. The big white patch is required for match days on players jerseys so the numbers can clearly be seen. This is what the back of your jersey would look like if you buy one.

Anyone see Lennon's comments? Griffith's future could be in jeopardy. He's come back overweight and out of shape.

Yeah, I'd say hes finished for us. Put up a pic of himself with a kebab after lennons comments. Good riddance if that's his attitude.

He should have been kicked out of the club when he was caught singing derogatory chants about Rudi Skacel a few years ago IMO.

    More trouble than he's worth.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Lost 2-1 to Lyon tonight. Didnt see it but moussa scored their first. Elyounussi with a late one for Celtic.

Hope you are all keeping well folks, haven't been checking in here much since lockdown. Glad the football is getting going again.

Agree with above sentiments re. Griffiths. Very disappointed in him after all the club has done for him. If this is where he is at now, unfortunately it's time to drop him and get rid when possible. This carry on affects the whole team, not just him, and it's very selfish behaviour. It's a shame but seems to be common these days. Different situation but the same sort of attitude with Stokes. Talented players who just let themselves down completely.

Agree completely on Griff, it's a pity because he's an excellent player when he's fit & focused. Not sure he'll be easy to get rid of, can see him going to Hibs or somewhere on loan

It is a shame alright because I love Griffiths the player when he is at it.

Read some quotes from Lennon too on Forster and it sounds like he wants to go back to Southampton and fight for his place. That's disappointing after they dumped him a year ago and Celtic got his career back on track and he is potentially turning his back to be part of history. Signing a good keeper is important. Can't afford many dropped points due to keeper clangers which is why I hope they don't go for Hart. Not sure whose out there that is available and would be a decent option.
