Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hull City v Liverpool 7.45 PM, not on the telly cos its so boring

Yep the game no one has been waiting for (though Hull's fan will be concerned to get something from this) sees Steve Bruce's charges host a somewhat dilapidated Liverpool who will once again be without the three players they really need but with Gerrard and Johnson quite possibly. Hulls most important absentees are Diamé and Jelavić

More intriguingly there is a suggestion that Samed Yesil will be in the match squad while Rodgers dropped a hint that Ibe could be moved central but surely not tonight, he could certainly become a decent No 10 if Coutinho was dropped deeper.

A win here for Liverpool will put real pressure on both Manchester clubs esp united, it'll be interesting to see if united can hang on to top four with Liverpool breathing down their neck.

nervy 1 nil win to the visitors.

I wonder how many empty away seats there will be with fans trying to organise a boycott

Even a Liverpool win will put next to no pressure on Utd or especially City. I expect Hull to want something from the game more though, so I suspect they'll get at least a point.

Liverpool's visit to Hull last year was possibly their worst performance of the season, not that it's relevant for tonight of course.

Blooding Yesil could be the only positive from the remainder of the season. It'll be a big step up for him.

At least he'd have the advantage of the opposition not knowing anything about him.

We haven't beat Hull at the KC since 2009

Like 90% of posters here also!
(You and I are excempt, obviously)

2-1 Pool, no pressure to win really, so we probably will in that case.

We're just a pair of Reserves hipsters! :)

How has Yesil been since getting back from his injuries? I used to watch a lot of the reserves but haven't seen much since LFC TV stopped being free. Obviously he is scoring goals but how have his performances been?

PS, NO AGRESSION IN THIS POST

Yesil will probably do both cruciates at the same time and get a nosebleed if he plays.

I can only see a Liverpool win and a resounding one at that.
Sure they will probably go on to win all the remaining games comfortably and narrowly miss out on fourth.

I think I'll watch Fair City instead, I don't watch Fair City.

Wouldn't surprise me. No pressure on them now.

    James Pearce ‏@JamesPearceEcho
Just one change for #LFC tonight as Allen replaces Gerrard.

Hopefully the players have actually done some work on playing with a striker like Balotelli and we get people around him and runners off him.

Subs Jones, Toure, Lambert, Manquillo, Lallana, Brannagan, Markovic

    So much for Yesil!

Looked like a little kick on Mario there?

Huddlestone kicked Balotelli in the arse. Commentators didn't pick up on it.

Whatever the outcome of the game and no matter how Pool play, I can't wait to hear Rodgers spin.

No doubt they will be outstanding like they were in the 0-0 draw with WBA at the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Going for goal? Bit of a waste.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Definite kick by Huddleston......scummy, but got the reaction from Mario as intended

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Mario kicked while on the ground and they blame him for reacting.

Started the same as the weekend, plenty of possession but not doing much with it once we get to the final 3rd.

Hull are an awful side. Not getting 3 points here will be a disgrace.

Need a goal to draw them out and leave space at the back, it doesnt look like it will be easy though.

All the quickness of our counters are gone.....we have become so blunt in attack this year

Such a wasted opportunity from Johnson

Shocking from Glen Jo........why is he playing?

That's what happens with wing backs and lack of pace up top.
