Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

A colleague at work lost their contact list and did not have a iTunes backup done.
We need to transfer all the contacts from another phone.
There was a app called bu.mp but it is not available anymore.
I thought we could do import sim contacts but they were not on the other sim and there does not seem to be a save to sim option?
Can the transfer be down easily over wifi or whatever?
The easiest way would be best.

    Regards,

    Kieran

With no iTunes or iCloud backup it cannot be restored.

But how can we transfer the contacts over from another phone?
It is just the contacts that are the problem.

Insert the sim with the contacts into the new phone and import the contacts.

    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Contacts>Import SIM Contacts.

If you're with Vodafone they have a Contacts app. You can then sync the contacts to any phone which has the app installed.

Or just use airdrop (swipe screen up and you'll see the option) not sure if you can do multiple contacts at once though. Might have to do them one at a time.

How can a contact list be synced or restored if it has been lost and not backed up on iCloud/Itunes?

I also don't think the iPhone saves contacts to sim does it?

    Hi all,
No the iphone won't save to sim which would make life much easier.
In the end we did the air drop from another company phone yesterday morning and it worked.
    Thanks all for your help.

Am pretty sure you can use gmail to do this by setting up a new gmail account and effectively using it as the cloud then pulling the contacts back down to the new phone. Have a google.
