You'd think with BGT Red Rock would see increase but its down at 80,000 again.

They have the lead in from BGT Semi-Finals this week. Good figures for BGT on Saturday and Sunday - so it could boost it for its series finale today and tomorrow.

It also helps to have an Irish entry.

Will be interesting to see the weekend sports figures - wouldn't surprise me if the Pro12 Final was higher than either the Champions' League or the Sunday Game.

Final of BGT was worst for ITV with 8m up against Champions League Final.

    Summer Time has arrived.

Brendan O'Connor's Cutting Edge (AKA Later on 2 with Claire McKeon) dropped down to 212,000 viewers. IMO unlikely to recover but as its the summer who knows. Daft set up of a programme and it has a live studio audience!

Champion's League Final on 2 had 245,000 viewers Versus BGT 184,000, however as we though it drove up Red Rock final 2 episodes of the season 125,000 viewers. Good week for TV3 with its top 15 getting over 100,000 of which 9 went to BGT, 2 to Red Rock and 3 to VB.

Over on UTV Ireland Lewis had 60,000+ viewers as their replacement for BGT. They'll be happy once BTG moves. The British Soap Awards 2016 had 101,000 viewers.

While RTE2 repeats Anonymous with 46,000 viewers! Top Gear had 85,000 viewers.

I don't know it is in at 9 with those low figures, I think RTE ONE is heading towards oblivion.

If RTE One is heading for oblivion, then RTE 2, TV3, and UTVi must already be there.

The day RTE One heads towards oblivion, we may pack up and stop talking about television. It is still the absolutely dominant channel in this market.

Similar audiences last year. Europa League final was on 3E afaik so it could be higher.

Would imagine Big Brother will lift 3 back into triple K figures this week, similarly Two will do well with the four "home" nations Euro fixtures.

Would imagine Big Brother will lift 3 back into triple K figures this week, similarly Two will do well with the four "home" nations Euro fixtures.

As I said without sport and reality TV both are doomed, neither are retaining their audience after those "event" programmes. RTE2 have lost Rugby from 2018 to TV3, while TV3 have possibly lost all ITV reality TV to UTV Ireland from 2017.

For example TV3 had the biggest sporting event last year but couldn't retain or attract audiences after the tournament was over. This will happen again this year for both RTE2 and TV3, massive audience from the 10/06 to 10/07 followed by a massive drop.

Meanwhile UTV Ireland's decision on Love Island has been disastrous, it'd be interesting to know how well it did on ITV2.

why on earth they scheduled love island is beyond me. its never been heard of here and rates awful on itv2. I think tv3 must be happy so far with the ratings they are getting whereas ITV will be worried.

Last year it would have made sense since they had little to show for the 9 slot, but now owned by ITV it would make more sense to show it at 11pm.

One reasons for the additional ITV2 programmes, is I suspect, the big hole in network programming available to UTV Ireland over the next month because of the Euros.

I'd be very interested in what TV3 pulled for the England match last night, I suspect it was a ratings winner in its slot.

Old cliché about England matches rating higher borne out by the figures - Digital Spy also noted that the opening match rated much higher than the other weekend games.

    French game did better.

tomorrow we should find out the total audience from all the press releases from both rte and tv3. boost for both channels, pity that medialive are giving figures for live and the analysis.

Good to see RTE2 back in the top 20.

Only one edition of Love Island in UTV Ireland's Top 20 getting 43,000. Meaning all 9pm showings of Love Island were the same or under that number. That's awful - to go from 256,000 viewers for Corrie to 43,000 for Love Island within a matter of minutes. There's a reason why ITV put it on ITV2 - it's a show that suits that channel, and is not a show suited for the main channel any more, especially since the celebrity/Kelly Brooks days when that bombed as well.

Report on the Journal.ie, that the Ireland V Sweden game was the most watched programme this year so far, with 1.35 million tuning in for the last minute.

Can't put up a link on my phone.

I'd say the amount of viewer's could have been bigger, as I seen the last few minutes of the game in work, with almost 20 lads watching the one telly, I listened to the radio for most of the game.

Yes they always mention that it does not include viewers at work or in venues, pubs etc.

Problem lies with how do they retain these viewers.
