    Top 10 April 2015 For TV3 +1
    RED ROCK
    THE SEVEN O'CLOCK SHOW
    BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT
    JUDGE JUDY
    ALL STAR FAMILY FORTUNES
    MIDDAY
    TV3 NEWS AT 8
    TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE
    CATCHPHRASE
    IRELAND AM

I know these figures would be miniscule, but it's mad to see daytime programmes like Ireland AM and Midday in this list. News At 8 makes an appearance too.
In the top 10 for TV3, the Sport and News at 5:30 is seen as 2 different shows.

It's hardly surprising that big brother is doing poorly for tv3. if it had an irish contestant there might be more interest.

So a week behind for some reason here

Big Brother Adult Ratings 85,000 for Sunday Night at 9pm

TV3 seem to be losing audience towards the end of their Top Twenty with just 63,000 for Judge Judy and 64,000 for Xpose. Strange never see Ireland AM on this list.

Nothing really else different UTV Ireland still unable to pull viewers for other programming outside Coro St and Emmer.

Pat Kenny in the Round Ep 1 had 129,000

The Simpsons replace Home and Away on RTÉ2 but it see the return of sports but again same kind of auidence.

Claire Byrne Live's Ref Debate had 346,000 viewers.

At least Medialive have updated that website!

RTÉ ONE is continuing to see drops in audience. Though figures don't include non-live viewing and only 15+. Anyone want to give an estimate has to how many more viewers might be available to TV channels outside figures given on Medialive? 10% - 15% more?

    TLLS has 440,000 viewers
while I think a repeat of Ear to the Ground had 207,000 viewer, I am fairly sure its a repeat.
One of the main issue with RTÉ ONEs top twenty and RTÉ ONEs schedule is the huge number of repeats. Mrs Brown's Boys (354,000), Reeling in the Years (307,00), At Your Service (302,000), Room to Improve (274,000), Home Chef (227,000) and I think Ear To the Ground!

RTÉ2 see the return of GAA for the summer with 343,000 viewer watching The Sunday Game Live and 182,000 watching the earlier Live match. 20. 57,000 watched TBBT AFFAIK it was a repeat?

    Eurovision 2015
The Final had 318,000 but no Irish Entry (I though it was one of the strongest we've put into the contest).
Ireland and The Eurovision had 309,000 viewers
The 1st semi had 187,000 and the second 261,000 (featured the Irish entry)

Red Rock again saw a bounce up from last week with both episodes getting an average of 110,000 viewers. It's hard to know if The 7 O'Clock show is growing in popularity or if TV3 is lossing viewers, 77,000 tuned in on Tuesday night (certainly up from 70,000 viewer it go when it was last in the top 20) but 61,000 viewers put it at 20th place down for TV3's top twenty.

Big Brother featured twice averaging 63,000 viewers. BGT topped the chart with 176,000 viewers but TV3 will expect this to grow during the final weeks of the show.

None of the Referendum programmes feature in any of the top 20 but this could be due to news.

Coro St and Emmers take up the top 11 programmes on UTV Ireland as normal from 184,000 viewers to 326,000.

Soap awards had 144,000, PK in the Round had 55,000, Pride of Ireland awards 76,000.

    The Soaps

    Name | Average | Episodes
    Fair City | 350,000 | 3
    EastEnders | 250,000 | 2
    Red Rock | 110,000 | 2
    Coro St | 290,000 | 5
    Emmers | 190,000 | 5

Very low for the Eurovision. It's usually a show that is in the Top 20 shows of the year, but as Ireland didn't qualify this year - the interest was less and the ratings showed it.

The Seven O'Clock Show in the ratings twice. Hard to know whether the audience is better between 7-7.30 or 7.30-8. BGT will clog up the ratings next week, so it mightn't show TSOCS's ratings for just a half an hour segment.

    Last Week in May

Most programmes are ending their run. TLLS and TSNS getting the top spots on RTÉ ONE, with TLLS having 534,000 viewers. RTÉ ONE's audience while down remains fairly much the same. Even with the BGT finals Fair City has 332,000 on Thursday Night and EastEnders had 313,000 viewers that night. The Repeat of Room to Improve had 217,000 viewers at number 20. Again many repeats.

RTÉ2 is given a bounce with The Sunday Game (271,000) and The Irish Open (239,000). Licence To Kill had 102,000 it followed The Sunday Game. Father Ted still remains popular with 100,000 viewers, but no sign of Friends. Person of Interest has 61,000 at number 20.

TV3's top 20 is largely BGT and BGMT. The Final has 271,000 viewers. On one other show made the top 10 and that was Red Rock with 137,000 viewers, and Wednesday nights episode had 124,000 viewers. Possibly 2 of the highest audience for the show since it began in Jan. Just shows what "a show grabber" can do for Red Rock, its a pity TV3 didn't start airing the show This time last year.

The FA Cup Live had 93,000 viewers, be interesting to see what BBC ONE's audience was for that.

It's like old times on TV3 with 14 of the top 20 shows coming from ITV. Only 5 TV3 programmes made the top 20, the other 3 being Tonight With VB getting 84,000 to 105,000 viewers. No sign of TSOCS.

UTV Ireland's is pretty much the same. I was surprised Coro St did well for the channel at 9pm I assumed TV3 would pick up viewers during the interval of BGT, but Coro St remained pretty much the same with all 5 shows airing Monday to Friday. PK in the Round had 86,000 viewers. Lewis had an average of 90,000 against BGT.

    The Soaps (est)

Name | Average Audience | Eps
    Fair City | 300,000 | 3
    EastEnders |313,000 | 1
    Red Rock |130,000 |2
    Coro St | 300,000 | 5
    Emmerdale |195,000 |5

All figures Live and over 15 viewers only.

The FA Cup final was a bit of an oddity in that it was simultaneously on four channels, three of which are part of the UPC basic package: TV3, Setanta Ireland, BBC One, and BT Sport 1,

How to fatten your stats from TV3
    http://www.tv3.ie/pr_sub.php?type=1&view_pr=763

No figure given for TV3 alone.

Not that the stats are in anyway bad but they are dressed up.

    Red Rock on Thursday
    Reached 235,600
    Peaked at 194,700
    Averaged 183,000 (TV3 and TV3+1)

So the disparity between Medialive and TV3's figures are quite big for the final episode

Medialive's +15 live figure puts Red Rock at 106,000, meaning 77,000 are under 15 and watched on TV3+1 almost 50% of the audience.

According to medialive 95,000 adults watched the second last epsidoe on Wednesday night on TV3.

First week without TLLS and TSNS and RTÉ ONE's top twenty drops below 200,000 viewers for the first time, 185,000 for EastEnders (such the nerd that I am that's the kind of audience EastEnders had on TV3!). Fair City took the top 3 spots for RTÉ One. From 293,000 to 371,000 viewers.

RTÉ2 remained much the same with the return of Home and Away. TSGlive had 361,000 viewers. England V Ireland highlight had 119,000 viewers. American Odessy had 97,000 viewers.

TV3 was down a good bit this week. Big Brother was at number 20 with just 66,000 viewers. With The People's Debate having 131,000 viewers. The IFTAs had 91,000. (Goss.ie reported it had 108,000 viewers so 17,000 under 15).

The Cube remains popular for TV3 though it set to go in 2016 with 80,500 for 2 episodes on average.
VB averaged 108,000 for his 2 other episodes.

UTV Ireland same old same old (It's already old!)

PK in the Round had 123,000 viewers (143,000 according to goss.ie or 20,000 children, Westlife is kid friendly I guess).

The Chase at number 20 had 53,000 adults.

    Soaps and Big Brother

    Name | Average | Episodes
    Fair City | 338,000 | 4
    EastEnders | 220,000 | 4
    Home and Away | 65,000 | 4
    Red Rock | 100,000 | 2
    Coro Street | 313,000 | 5
    Emmerdale | 210,000| 6
    Big Brother | 76,000 | 5

    Six One | 317,000
    Crimecall | 315,000

RTÉ One is way down with its top twenty from 191,000 to 319,000. Prime Time tops its 20 programmes with the rest all under 300,000 viewers. Kind of audience TV3 would have had with Coronation St and X-Factor

RTÉ2 sports continues to be its biggest draw which should be a worry to the channel come RWC2015. Its top 4 Shows are sport with 416,000 for soccer and TSGL getting 346,000 and TSG with 148,000. All other shows are under 90,000 viewers with TBBT getting 53,000 viewers at 20.

First week without Red Rock for TV3. The Cube tops its chart with 119,000 viewers (I think that is one of the programmes leaving TV3 next year). Did they hold on to Catchphrase and Family Fortune both shows are at 2 and 3. The highest audience for Big Brother with 100,000 viewers on Tuesday night. It appear 5 times in the top twenty. Judge Judy is at 20 with 63,000 viewers, no sign of Xpose or The Seven O'Clock Show.

UTV Ireland see little change both Coro St and Emmerdale are slight down and its number twenty is at 52,000 for The Chase.

There 3 Irish shows all made the top twenty with PK getting 155,000 viewers, Kevin Dundon getting 128,000 viewers but Rare Bread down at just 79,000. Kind of viewing numbers TV3 was getting with those times slots when it had Coro St. Though The Apprentice always did better on Monday night.

    Soaps and Big Brother

    Name | Average | Episodes
    Fair City | 282,000 | 4
    EastEnders | 221,000 | 3
    Home and Away | 60,000 | 5
    Coronation Street | 286,000 | 5
    Emmerdale | 202,000 | 6
    Big Brother | 83,000 | 6

Not really good figures for any of the channels. It will be interesting to see what the audience share is for May. Really UTV Ireland is loosing out because of its Weekend Schedule only one Saturday show made its top twenty, while TV3 had 6 programmes from its weekend schedule.

Red Rock replacement show Adoption Stories on had 86,000 viewers. With its replacement show on Wednesday night getting under 63,000 viewers.

RTE 2 would be almost unjustifiable without sport. Are numbers given for RTE Player, because, with the exception of sport, I only ever watch RTE online?

RTE One will be disappointed with Winning Streak's ratings, 9th on 271k, but Miriam (323) and Lenihan (364) are standout results. Apart from Sunday Game, nothing to report on Two, and TV3 has effectively become the Vincent Browne Channel, with the top four positions. Rare Breed remains UTV's highest-rated domestic programme, on 97k.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,014 ✭✭✭iseegirls

Big Brother seems to be doing a good job of a summer filler TV show for TV3 - beating UTVi every night.

I think RTE1 would be happy enough with that rating for Winning Streak. It's out of it's normal Sep-May time, and maybe as the weeks go in - it should increase. Anyone remember if Kian Egan's lottery show ever appear in the Top 10 over the past few weeks?

Also, that must be the first time ever that Medialive have released figures on a Monday. Thanks guys! :)
