The fact the Man city game on RTE was over before the match kicked off didn't help them with that rating.

Good for UFC highlights, especially 2-3 days after it occurred. Seemed to disappear from 3e after ufc199, but I see they're showing the next event highlights on 3e in 2 weeks time. The UFC Now and Ultimate Insider shows haven't returned yet for them.

UTV Ireland have Cold Feet returning for them. Maybe a chance of high ratings there. Plus why didn't they show some older episodes during the day or after the news at 10, instead of repeats of Loose Women.

I think they have given up. they couldn't actually confirm if Victoria would air at the same time as ITV!

Ratings for last week updated on medialive.

Looking at UTV Ireland, I can't see much of a difference compared to their previous weeks. Emmerdale and corrie take up the Top 11 spots as they have done for so many months. The Pulse at 8pm Fri gets 68,000 as their only homegrown show.

RTE2's only show over 100,000 is The Sunday Game highlights. Electric Picnic did ok on Saturday with 85,000. The US shows like CSI Cyber, Chicago P.D and Criminal Minds just aren't performing. Should they continue to spend money on these rights?

TV3's Smalltown came third in their Top 20 with 130,000. It goes to 21:30 for the next 2 episodes. Unsure that will help or hinder it. The Xtra factor needs to be put onto 3e, it drags the ratings down for TV3 once the main show ends.
Elmo's secretly favourite TSOCS back in with one showing at 58,000. Xpose still on an hour this week, and will go to half hour next week. Might see if it helps ratings then in 2 weeks time.

RTE2 had sport qualifiers this week with Serbia V RoI getting 385,000 viewers out side of soccer coverage all other shows remain below 100,000 viewers. Father Ted remains apart of their prime time schedule showing they really don't care or lack confidence. Home and Away is falling in terms of viewers with just 56,000 to 69,000 viewers. Repeats of Reality bits **** Cancer had just 50,000 with the Paralympics getting 78,000 viewers on Sunday night and 47,000 viewers on Thursday night. Soccer Rep had 62,000 viewers at an early time.

Smalltown continues with 105,000 viewers on TV3, with XFactor getting 189,000 and 180,000 viewers. Like RTE2 all other shows are below 100,000 viewers. Judge Judy in the top twenty 3 times on Friday, Thursday and Wednesday doing better than either Xpose or The Seven O'Clock Show. Both Catchprase and All Star Mr and Mrs get into the top 5!!!


UTV Ireland continues as is and as it becomes part of the TV3 family of channels its top 11 show remain Coro Street and Emmerdale with all other shows under 100,000 viewers. Cold Feet had 83,000 while ITV drama Victoria had just 65,000 viewers. It will be interesting to see if TV3 drop UTV Ireland's The Chase at 6pm which does better than its Xpose! The Pulse had 65,000 viewers.

TV3's first week of 8:30 & 9:30 scheduled programmes didn't make much of an impact last week. Red Rock, Donal McIntrye doc and Long Lost Family this week may help it, along with Gogglebox and Living With Lucy over the next few weeks.
Feels strange though having VB finish at 11:30, you'd expect a few devout followers liked the older time of 11pm.

The Sunday Game remains RTÉ2's most watch programme with 199,000 viewers, followed by Champions League with 167,000 viewers. Paralympics was 3rd with 89,000 viewers with 5 more entries ranging from 46,000 to 65,000 viewers. Greyhound Racing had 76,000 viewers. RTÉ2 has clearly gone to the dogs!!

Meanwhile TV3 had The X Factor with 194,000 viewers and 164,000 viewers. Champions League had 164,000 just shy of RTÉ2. Red Rock return to 123,000 (adult viewers, 165,000 reported in newspapers total audience). Smalltown had 110,000 viewers. after the top 5 all others had under 100,000 viewers with champions league highlights getting 99,000 and Catch phrase with 92,000. VB at 10:30 had from 66,000 to 89,000. Xpose had 71,000 with Judge Judy doing better than that classic TV3 show The 7 O'Clock show with 70,000 viewers.

UTV Ireland had all shows outside the ITV soaps getting under 100,000 viewers with The pulse beating xpose with 90,000 viewers.

It will be interesting to see if these viewers improve when the merger finishes

The new season is in full swing. RTÉ2's new drama had 111,000 and 106,000 viewer for its first outing. Can't Cope Won't Cope. everything else drops to below 100,000 viewers with Zero Dark Thirty getting 77,000 viewers. The Emmy Awards had 71,000 viewers. Live SSE soccer had 67,000 viewers.

TV3's XFactor remains of the top list of shows just shy of 200,000 viewers at 193,000 and 168,000. Newbie Gogglebox had 117,000 viewer (156,000 with children!), Red Rock had 107,000 viewers down from the first episode. With returning show Living with Lucy getting 102,000 viewers. After that all show go below 100,000 viewers. With Judge Judy's new season taking up 4 places! Xpose had 58,000 viewers.

UTV Ireland is the same old same old. Cold Feet had 99,000 viewers. The Chase: Celebrity Special had 56,000 viewers.

Special mention to Ray D'Arcy who got to 2nd place but didn't increase his audience!

TG for GAA and a replay which puts RTÉ2 on top with 726,000 surpassing all other programmes. The Saturday Game had 284,000 viewers. followed by Champions League with 196,000 viewers. Raiders of the Lost Ark following Dublin's win had 131,000 with highlights of GAA getting 112,000 viewers, with Father Ted repeat holding up the viewers with 98,000 viewers tuning in, meanwhile new comedy Can't cope won't cope drops to 77,000 viewers. Irish Film the Stag had 73,000 viewers with a repeat of First Dates getting 48,000 viewers.

TV3's XFactor fails to make the top 30 shows with just 159,000 viewers for both shows, with Champions league getting 151,000 viewers. Gogglebox had 124,000 viewers with Red Rock getting 113,000 viewers. VB Tonight had 103,000 viewers, its 10:30 start making little difference. Clinton V Trump had 94,000 viewers. Xpose had 59,000 viewers, while Judge Judy had 58,000 viewer's.

UTV Ireland is the same old same old with Cold Feet getting just 82,000 viewers, will be interesting to see if TV3 repeat this show once everything is completed. The Pulse had 66,000 viewers. While it will be interesting to see if TV3 retain Midsomer Murders with 54,000 viewers.

Sport takes over RTE2 top twenty with soccer qualifiers taking up 8 of its top 10, all shows after 7 are under 100,000 viewers with Home and Away seeing a slight increase. Can't Cope Won't Cope drops 10,000 viewers with 67,000 viewers.

TV3 did well with its new shows. X-Factor getting into 34th postition with 195,000 viewers. Pat Kenny had 156,000 (adult) viewers with Living with Lucy getting 153,000 viewers (similar to its audience when it was on RTE TWO), Gogglebox had 132,000 viewers with Red Rock retaining 119,000 viewers. Judge Judy remains in the top 20, with the IFTA's getting a 88,000 viewers and lots of complaints about Editing. TSOCS had 66,000 viewers on Tuesday night ahead of Xpose with 64,000 viewers.

UTV Ireland took up 3 of the top ten shows with Coro St, while Emmerdale had 172,000 to 228,000 viewers. EY Entrepreneur of the Year had 98,000 viewers. Cold Feet had 78,000 viewers. The Pulse equaled Xpose with 64,000 viewers. The Chase had 3 eps getting 57,000, 58,000 and 59,000 viewers finishing their top 20.

Very good for those shows. The switch to 9:30 has helped them, plus more of an impetus on Irish homegrown shows. The Living With Lucy figure is very impressive - maybe because it was Kerry Katona. Unsure Al Porter will garner the same amount of viewers tonight.

Lots of Budget coverage on RTE1 and RTE2 today, especially with it starting earlier than normal. Should they use News Now instead of RTE2? No change in schedule for UTV Ireland, while Vincent Browne is extended to a 95 minute programme.

Medialive do not provide programme numbers for BBC NI, TAM only provide Audience reach and share. AFAIK that is a historical listing that the members of TAM have not asked to remove. BBC 1 NI has 4-5% share while BBC2 NI has 1.5 to 2.5%.
