No showings for Celeb Masterchef on TV3. It really did bomb, and wasn't helped by them jumping it around in the schedule half way through. Perhaps would have been better starting with non-celebs.

There have been promotions for new series of The Restaurant coming soon. Will they go for it in on Thursday at 9, or swap Gogglebox and put it on Wed at 9pm, where the last series' have been.

Master chef wasn't very strong for RTÉ strange how they were talked into the show following their own show similar show which also flopped and the success of The Restaurant.

Don't think they had much choice but to move it from Monday night.

RTÉ2's top twenty consist of sports and everything else under 100,000 viewers. and even then first dates, don't tell the bride etc don't make the cut. reallly only 3 of the top twenty are non-sport related, Home and Away, The Hunt and Weird Wonders of the World.

Red Rock will be happy with their audience from last monday their highest rating outside a priemier and it would have beaten Emmers a week ago with 165,000 viewers.

The Voice remains low with 124,000 viewers but PK Tongiht, Doctors in the House and Gogglebox helps the irish programmes out from 110,000 to 133,000 viewers. Number 20 is VB Tongight with 94,000 viewers.

Interestingly TLLS had just 371,000 viewers the lowest I have ever seen it at.

The Ireland match seemed to have a huge effect on the ratings for TLLS. Their highest audience I presume would be between 9.30 and 10.30, and so this would have clashed with the match and the post match analysis.

Daniel & Majella hasn't exactly set the ratings on fire on RTE1. It seems to have been a lot more talk about it when on UTV Ireland.

TV3 will be reasonably happy with their home produced shows. Gogglebox, Doctor On The House and Pat Kenny all in top 20 on Wednesday. Red Rock ratings doing well too, and broadchurch jumps into top 20 after not appearing last week. Still think they should use the 8pm slot in between Corrie for something different, and not Xpose.

3e's top show for feb was CBB which will push them up with 84,000 viewers, this may bring up the channel audience share for Feb.
the rest of 3e's top twenty ranged from 31,000 viewers to 64,000 for the Shawshank redemption.

be3's top show was The Chase with 50,000 viewers a slight drop perhaps down to the repeats. BallyK had 21,000 viewers with Midsommer's Murders getting 45,000 viewers at number 2.

Repeats of the soaps feature once on be3 with Coro St getting 30,000 viewers. While one episode of The Nightly Show had 33,000 viewers.

Yeah I forgot the Ireland match was on.

UTV Ireland placed dan and mag between Coro St which only proves how both TV3 and UTV Ireland failed/fail to utlise Coro St.

TV3 should put either Red Rock or TEOCS on at 8 (TSOCS).

Cheltenham (and Aintree) for various reasons tend to get a much bigger audience than horse racing in general does.

These post match and prematch ratings are just getting ridiculous in the top 20

Figures from last weekends rugby on saturday show the following:
    12:30 Live Play - Scotland v Italy 113,000
    14:23 Post Match - Scotland v Italy 164,000
    14:37 Build Up - France v Wales 161,000
    14:45 Live Play - France v Wales 256,000
    17:02 Post Match - France v Wales 490,000
    17:03 Build Up - Ireland v England 475,000
    17:05 Live Play - Ireland v England 617,000
    18:54 Post Match - Ireland v England 384,000

We have got a rating for 1 minute, 2 minute, 8 minute and 14 minute slots.
Maybe they do it, to hide the other low ratings that RTE2 have fallen into.

Really it is up to Medialive I assume they can present them as one full programme. It started with the RWC on TV3.

RTÉ2 at 65,000 for its number 20 just shows how badly the rest of the channels line up is doing. (Home and Away).

Coro St is definitely suffering due to Xpose.

    Monday
    7:00 Emmerdale 242,000 (it's highest rating)
    7:30 Coro St 303,000 (it's highest rating)
    8:00 Xpose 127,000 (it's highest rating)
    8:30 Coro St 285,000
    9:00 Red Rock 149,000
    10:00 Broadchurch 113,000

    Friday
    7:00 Emmerdale 220,000
    7:30 Coro St 287,000
    8:00 Xpose less than 113,000
    8:30 Coro St 183,000 (it's lowest rating)

Any you can't say that either the Under 21s or Women's Rugby took from Coro St on Friday Night (93,000 and 162,000 respectively) a respectable showing for both but not audience taking.

Horseracing - Cheltenham Festival worked out well for TV3 207,000, 123,000 and 120,000.

Red Rock was down but beat an episode of Emmerdale for the first time ever with 149,000 viewers.

They don't care as long as Eir Broadband subscriptions go up.

Not to mention the GAA club fixtures they announced - they won't worry, as long as they're riding on BT's coat-tails. Much like Six Nations for RTE Two, the League again proves pivotal for TG4.

Subscriptions are hardly going up much if annual viewing figures are down by almost 70%.

Coronation Streets Friday Night Episodes are continuing to remain low with the 8:30 ep getting 189,000 viewers.

Red Rock continues to remain at a round 145,000 viewers (The episode was technically the first of season 3). Broadchurch follows with 105,000 viewers.

VB Tongiht on Tuesday had 111,000 viewers with no sign of Pat Kenny. The Voice UK remains low with 87,000 viewers.

The Restaurant returned with just 97,000 but in fairness it replaces Masterchef which looks likely never to return.

Interestingly TV3 choose the Qualifier to air on 3E with Gail and Me getting 115,000 viewers. While on RTÉ ONE Neven's Food Trails: The Basque Country had 246,000 viewers. The second qualifier on Sunday did not appear in TV3's top 20. (there was a second qualifier?).

RTE2's audience seem all over the place, with 1st dates returning to the top 20 this week with 142,000 viewers, with the Home and Away special getting from 64,000 to 83,000 viewers. Homeland had 70,000 viewers and This is Us had 65,000 viewers.

The Wednesday match on 3e was just a friendly (and used ITV commentary). The match on TV3 on Sunday was a World Cup qualifier.

Summer time ... has returned. Clearly RTÉ have seen the brighter days with a repeat of Room To Improve 254,000, no chance of a family game shows to replace DWTS then?

Mrs. Brown in Da Round had 419,000 viewers with D'Arcy getting 316,000 viewers, I wonders if D'Arcy audience watch Mrs. Brown as a warmer upper?

First Dates had 146,000 viewers with RTÉ2's Nature's Weirdest Events getting 51,000 viewers.

Red Rock is steady at 137,000 viewers with Paul O'Grady: For The Love Of Dogs getting 98,000 viewers no sign of PK Tonight.

Interesting good rating for Doctor In The House on Wednesday. Big help for it was TV3s mix-up with Emmerdale earlier. They showed the first half again after the break, but sorted it out about 10minutes later. This meant Coronation St overran, and Doctor In The House ran a bit later at 8:10 - but helped it get it's best rating of the series.

Maybe a few more of these tactics would help other programmes after the soaps. :D
