Outside of football, it looks so bleak for RTE2. Alison Spittle's Culchie Club with 72,000 is the highest show apart from the Champions League. Home And Away getting an average of 60,000. Will & Grace, Catastrophe, Hardy Bucks not making the Top 20 and so they are under 52,000.

Big Week on the farm's ratings don't look as spectacular as to what they were previously, but still decent for an hour show at 7pm.

Big rating for the CL game and the Grand National on TV3, which was broken down into 3 parts:
14:00 Aintree festival 141,000
16:50 Grand National Build Up 256,000
17:05 Grand National 375,000

No home produced programming showing up in the top 20 (apart from the CL coverage and highlights), so programmes like Pat Kenny, Red Rock, The Tonight Show, Paramedics, Xpose are all under 140,000 at least.

Very bad for Hardy Bucks not to get into the top 20. Not a show that I'd watch but it had a following, I wonder if people though it was a repeat. Especially coming after the success of Young Offenders.

Because they do not flag repeats clearly or at all, then a recognised 'old' show is considered to be a repeat even if it isn't.

Looking at Medialive, we learn that The Tonight Show recorded 140k last week, which was more than during the VB era, while Pat Kenny scores 120k. RTE Two's highest rating is 88k for an old Louis Theroux documentary, but the programme on Mountjoy was a success on the main channel, with 350k tuning in last Monday.

Red Rock back in TV3's top twenty with 98,000 viewers at number 20.

As said RTÉ2 had an awful week. It will be interesting to see how well new shows do over the next few months on the channel as Say Yes To The Dress etc return.

TV3 giving Red Rock another break now, with plenty of episodes already made. Seems like they want to stretch this out as much as possible. It would be near impossible to get everyone back if they were to ever make a positive decision about it's future.

RTE2 have at least 3 big enough Champions League he's over the coming month, and then the World Cup. But struggle to get any positives out if last weeks listings. They've resorted to replaying This Crowded House on a Tuesday night at 9:30. It only feels that the series finished a few weeks ago.

The nature and get type shows are doing better than US comedies Will And Grace and Big Bang.

Has Young Sheldon appeared in the RTE1 ratings yet? An absolute bizare scheduling decision there

RTE1 sees Ray D'Arcy close in on TLLS's ratings with 396,000 for TLLS, and 338,000 for TRDS. Bredan O'Connor has 207,000.

TV3's ratings dominated by Champions League, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and BGT. Xpose, The Tonight Show and Red Rock make an appearance in the Top 20. No sign of Paramedics or ITV dramas Girlfriends and The Widower.

Only BGT makes an appearance in the Top 20 for a show over the weekend. They really need some new programming or different ideas that aren't The Celeb Chase, Celeb Tipping Point, Family Chase and The Cube.

Champions League interest continues this year for RTÉ2 and TV3 in 1 and 4th place respectively.

RTÉ ONE is setting into summer, TLLS getting just 391,000 viewers and Crimecall getting 334,000, the rest under 300,000 viewers, a bad start to the summer for RTÉ ONE.

RTÉ's Can't Cope Won't Cope getting just 53,000 viewers.

BTG on TV3 had 188,000 viewers, and the return of WWTBAM had 174,000 viewers on Saturday and just 102,000 on Sunday night will be interest to see how it goes during the week. One entry for Tonight show getting 110,000 viewers on Tuesday night.

TV3 should be happy with those figures, very little change in audience following the ending of Ireland's Got Talent and 6 Nations from March, with growth for both 3e and be3. A 6% drop month on month and a 14 increase year on year.

RTÉ can only be happy with Eurovision, GAA and the Ref Debates to hold on to their audience.

But RTÉ ONE's audience is down at 175,000 viewers for the middle of the month as Summer sets in, Eurovision tops the list with 570,000 adult viewers with the RTÉ's TLLS just getting 382,000.

The start of the All Ireland season helps RTÉ2 out with audience ranging from 310,000 down to 70,000 for a build up of DUB V KK. The Eurovision also helps with Ireland's Semi final getting 277,000 and the second Semi-final getting 127,000, RTÉ must have been delighted that we didn't win. Stupid Boy!

TV3 can rest easy with WWTBAM? getting from 160,000 to 190,000 propping up their audience until Love Island and Big Brother return to 3e.

TLLS even when down still takes the top spot, largely down to its Country and Western theme in April.

Sport take up of TV3 and RTÉ2 top spots, with big games for the finals of the Champion League Season. And Horse racing also does well for both channels.

TV3 news seems to have disappeared with just an Average of 113,000 viewers for The Tonight Show on Tuesday Nights, no sign of Pat Kenny.

The move of Emmerdale to 3e boosted its audience getting it into the top spot with 80,000 viewers. 9 films getting into the top 20 with 4 itv daytime shows and a few Channel 5/itv docs making the top twenty. The lowest programme had 27,000 for The Boy Who Tried to Kill Trump.

Repeats of The Chase continue to bolster be3 with 40,000 viewers monday to friday. Repeats of Coro St and Emmerdale have about 25,000 viewers, with Red Rock getting 24,000 viewers. No sign of its 10pm news.

The Great Celeb Back Off had 29,000 viewers on Channel 4.

Surprised to see the Europa League Final on TV3 rather than on 3e, a case of having to move Coro St over to 3e for the night with little to show for it as it didn't bring in a bigger audience being on the main channel getting 152,000 viewers on Wednesday Night.

GAA is back for RTÉ2 and no sign of them selling their Soccer World Cup Rights to TV3, so a big Summer for RTÉ2. New Irish show don't do all that well with My Trans Life getting 60,000 viewers, Say Yes To The Dress getting 55,000 and Can't Cope Won't Cope getting 49,000 viewers (I see it moving to RTÉ ONE). Their highest rated showing being Thunderball with 64,000 viewers following COR V CLA.

TLLS for RTÉ ONE is down to 387,000 viewers as it comes to an end, At Your Service is up slightly to 330,000, while the Ref Debate while gaining a high audience is nothing like other refs or elections, with 319,000 though it certainly helped RTÉ ONE, both RTÉ ONE and TV3 must be happy when a Ref/election takes place.

No sign of RTÉ's coverage of The British Royal Wedding while some 98,000 watched The British Royal Wedding on TV3.

Was surprised that they didn't move it to 3e too at the time, especially as Corrie, Xpose and the drama Innocent which was split across the 4 days were all displaced. However, Virgin and TV3 did announce the big UEFA Champions League and Europa League deal on Tuesday, so probably good to have the main final remaining to show UEFA they are dedicated to their showpiece events on the main channel.

Just a slight correction above, 148,000 on TV3 for the Royal Wedding between 11.30 to 15.00 on Saturday. The highlights later got the 98,000.

Very low average audience for this Ref. IMO. It'll be interesting to see if Pat Kenny brought in any more.
