Mail Merge Question

I had thought Mail Merge could do this for me. I have a long list running several pages like a telephone directory of an area. I want to replace name, address, number one after the other with values from an excel spreadsheet to make another directory. I want to use MS Word because it isn't just data....there is HTML around…

I thought I could do this with mailmerge in Word 2003 but it seems it does not work that way.....you replace the values one at a time....print and then click to replace the next entry....

Is there anything out there to do what I want??
