Yeah... like, what kinda eejit starts smoking in 2013??

Plenty, I'm actually shocked by the amount of young teens and folks in their 20's that smoke. When I was a teenager you could smoke on a bus or in a supermarket, that's how old I am. You can't smoke anywhere these days, why bother?

Not an actual post but I have a relative in a nursing home who has a number of grandchildren. My cousins tell me that 4 people call to her every week and make sure somebody sees her every day. Others call more sporadically depending on circumstances. But one granddaughter goes once every month or six weeks, stays 5-10 minutes but takes a selfie in that time and puts it on Facebook. "Me and Gran havin the chats" The amount of comments beneath these posts telling her what a great grand-daughter she is would make you want to throw up.:(

The vom starts rising when you get to the domestic bliss part. As for the laughter lines part…Christ on a bike. Is that 'friend' like in Inbetweeners.

And remember, those aren't stretch marks, they're her Tiger Stripes.

"X marked herself as safe during The Attack in London, United Kingdom."

Errrr, you've lived in Cork all your life and I'm pretty sure you've never even visited London.

Glad to hear you're safe and all, but I don't think anyone had actually been worrying about you ...

Whats this marking as "safe" crap, is it an actual button on fb now ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,010 ✭✭✭kildare lad

Got this sent to me on whatsapp today... ffs!!

There is a 'whatsapp group called 'Interschools, if invited, don't join the group, it belongs to Daesh(ISIS). If you join the group you will not be able to exit from it, be vigilant, please inform others, send it to your relatives and children on whatsapp so that they will also be careful. Forwarded as received

It's actually a very handy feature that allows people to inform many people at once that they are safe during attacks and natural disasters. The fact that it is being misused by some does not detract from its usefulness.

Surely if they just posted anything about anything, people would know they were still alive and well.

Yes but "liberal lefty safe space bull****" is a term that can be used to describe literally anything one doesn't like, doesn't have to have any actual connection to what's being described. It's a very useful term, second only to PC brigade.

And yeah it can be a handy feature, saves people making forty phone calls like.

True but when you click on the page of the disaster, it shows you the friends on your list that have their location set to London and whether they've checked in or not. It's a handy tool, shame it's being misused but shur :)

I kind of agree with him.
Candles for London. Candles for Manchester. Candles for fathers day.

"xxx is off tomaz fr Poland Day wtf nvr heard of it"

Followed by a load of people complaining about how bad the UK has become when the Polish living there can get Poland Day off but the British don't get St George's Day off.

Eventually a poster with brains appears:

"Are you sure she didn't say polling day hun?".

ok have put that through my Enigma machine and

Either it is from "guess how much I love you?"

    Or

I love lizzy, can't wait to move in with her, love her
