The echo has a story about some mother that's campaigning for McDonald's to make gluten free food.

They technically do if you order the grilled chicken salad
I suppose that's too healthy though!
I'm coeliac and i wouldn't expect them to. It's not like producing a new range of something, there's a serious amount of x-contamination considerations

I stumbled onto a profile for a guy that died back in 2014 (don't ask how, I'm signed off sick this week & so bored!). Despite his being dead, people were constantly posting on his wall - his mother in particular posts every few days even now, often with something like 'I luv you son' but also random crap like about the local poker tournament. Others do the same, and each year people wish him a 'happy heavenly birthday'. Am I alone in finding this a bit weird? I can see how it's an outlet for their grief and that it can feel like 'talking' to him in a sense - but it's a public profile, on a social media page?! I find it really strange, and especially for so long after he has died: I've seen people post on someone's wall in the days after they've died, sending condolences etc., but not for 2+ years after...

    Thoughts?

Yeah, I've seen this a few times and while far be it for me to tell people how to grieve, if they feel posting to the page helps, then so be it, on the other hand pages like this often leads to 'one-up-manship' when it comes to posts.

I'd fall more on the "let them be" side I think.

    I agree.

A fella I used to know committed suicide a few years back and I know his mother takes comfort in reading friends posts on his wall and keeping his memory alive.

I can absolutely understand the impulse and why some people would find comfort in it. I do think it's really weird personally. And I agree with razorblunt that it can lead to almost competitive grieving...

One Last Time wasn't even the last song of the show, it was the 7th song in a show of about 23 songs, I went to the Dublin show. Failure to check facts really gets on my nerves!
