I would tie an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time... :pac:

And we learned old sayings like 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away' and 'an onion a day keeps everybody away'....:D

Probably fair to ask her how she will vote in the marriage referendum or what her opinion is.

They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones. :D:D;);)

Drink heavily now, get a good night's sleep, watch it on the news tomorrow (providing that they focus on something other than the Royal babbeh). :)

    It'd be breakfast.

Not allowed. RTE people can't express an opinion before Referendum

I'd like to head over, but I'd we say we'd end up doing 12 rounds about the referendum... :pac:

And we would sit around the TV...all the way around it.

Eventually, one of us would switch it on.

I want to go suddenly but I'd like to have a USB stick around my neck with a video recorded of how well I thought of my friends and family and then maybe a tune at the end taken from Youtube to get their emotions going :D

When RTE had John Bowman, Olivia O'Leary and Brian Farrell on Today Tonight they/we were blessed.

They usually have quality Current Affairs Journalists, but that was the best ever.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

    That's a sad story.

I can understand her pragmatic opinion on her loss.

I'm sure she still has a private side, she's a very independent lady God bless her.

I would imagine she'd cross God for the rights of the Angels not having enough green space for their wings.

Have I dabbled in the Bailey's too much??

    Well said, Olivia.

Carlow is a great place with terrific people.

Just because they don't make a big noise about it doesn't mean it isn't true.
