I went to the beauty expo at the rds. On the website to register, it was there in black and white strictly no kids under 16. No babies, no pushchairs, strictly over 16. The place was heaving with People. So many people. And when I came out, there was about 5 grim looking yokes, with 3 buggies and some bigger kids, wailing at the poor attendant about how they were let in last year and how it was a disgrace and blah blah blah basically trying to push their way in with all the kids. It didn't affect me directly but boys was I humming

    Have you been sick lately

Did you feel appreciated at any point today?

Yes, I have a manipulative 4 year old who is good at stroking my ego when he wants something. I have taken him to the zoo today so he has been very appreciative.
    Have you been sick lately

Had a mini cold a few weeks ago but nothing to complain about...but I complained anyway.

Do you take compliments at face value?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Unless there was a snipe behind it, then I unleash some scathing compliment back.

    Do you snipe

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

    Sometimes I do, yeah.

Give me an example of a scathing compliment?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I'm better at retorts! I have the best comebacks ever. Give me a minute!!

    Are you doubting me?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    Just thought of one.
Said to a girl with the Hun bun and cheap extensions.
"love your hair! Shame about the bald patch."

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

    No, not doubting you...

Are you easy to buy presents for?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    I think I am

Are you good at buying presents

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

I am a bit hit and miss. I get it very right sometimes, but very wrong other times - like when I bought my wife a 'Magimix' for christmas. It cost me €300 but was the worst present ever.

What is the worst present your OH or a former OH has ever bought you?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I don't know actually. I tend to love all presents. Even when my dad went and bought me a chain and earrings that wasn't my style at all, and never in a million years would I ever have picked them out, they were still very special to me. Maybe gift vouchers. I don't like those as much as proper presents

What's the worst haircut you've seen someone with

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Mm I don't really have one, not a fan.

What are you at for the day

What time you're getting up tomorrow?

    What makes you feel better

    What makes you feel better

    Junk food.

    Is that dangerous?

Mm I am in awe of people who can eat their feelings. When my life is okay, I'll eat rings around myself. The minute something happens, as soon as I'm stressed, I can't physically even look at food. When my dad died I think it was the third day before I had anything to eat. It was so long that there was a funny taste at the back of my throat.

How do you deal with being stressed?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,891 ✭✭✭✭Hugo Stiglitz

I don't really deal with it at all! lol :o

What's the most you've ever eaten in one sitting?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Good question!! Starter, dinner and dessert when I eat out!!

Do you ever skip a course

Do you ever skip a course

On the rare occasion that I don't think I'll fit 3 courses, I will skip the starter and have room for dessert.

How often do you eat out ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

Usually once a week, like fancy sitting down ordering from a menu and not drinking pints with the dinner. Little bit more just casual, for lunch or soup.

What did you have for dinner today

Nah, a home cooked meal is comforting and delicious!

If you were leaving for a holiday in an hour, where do you wish you were going?

I went to primary school in England and they were way more progressive than Irish national school, so I knew everything by the age of 7 or 8.

If you could guarantee one thing for tomorrow what would it be?

Unfortunately not, nothing ever happens in my town, and the stuff that does occasionally happen, is terribly planned and attracts rain.

    TV series recommendations?
