Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

Me! Hot mince pies with a tiny bit of ice cream on top. Delicious.

Why are they called mince pies when there is no mince meat in them?

That mix of dried fruit etc is in fact called mincemeat in culinary circles

Would you be upset if you found out life was just a simulation?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

Real or simulation - it has been good fun. So no, would not be too upset. I would suggest a few tweaks to the designers though.

For food -a few times a week.
    For other stuff- weekly.

Do you budget before you spend. Or just spend and worry about it later?

I always put aside some money each week to put in my Post Office savings account.
Then I pay the rent and bills and then the food shop.
I do take notice of bargains/price reductions and spend around €60 on groceries.
Whatever is left is for the rest of the week.
I do this every week, so I guess it is kinda budgeting.

    Do you watch soaps?
