Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A couple of pizzas with a vast variety of toppings, several portions of chips, and about 29 chicken goujons with a selection of dips. A couple of cans of Diet Coke to wash it all down.

Are you a fan of public displays of affection?

There's a difference between genuine affection and conspicuous foreplay. I approve of the former and not the latter.

Have you got a Christmas party to go to this year?

Yes but I'm not arsed going.

Will you be doing a 12 pubs thing?

No, waste of time, too much effort.

What's the first thing you do Xmas morning?

Same as any other morning: pee, get a glass of diet cola and have a smoke. :p

Usually I wake up really late, so it's a mad scramble to get myself shaved, showered and out the door to my sister's place where she hosts a family get together.

What's the longest you've gone without sitting down?

Not really sure - my best guess is when I didn't book my seats on the packed train from Budapest to Lake Bled while I was interrailing - stood for about 14 hours or so. Slept a bit standing up. Was great!

Have you ever/would you sky dive?

Not a chance! I'm scared of heights. Even watching those videos of Russian guys doing pullups on the top of cranes gives me sweaty feet. :o

    Nope. I have other plans.

If you had €10k to spend on a car, what would you buy?

I'm usually a reluctant patient. I wouldn't go to the doctors unless I was minutes away from death :p

Did anything make you smile today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I'm needy all the time, but I'm worse when I'm sick. I revert back to when I was about 6 years old. I cry, I need cuddles, I look for my dad, I want to fall asleep on someone's chest.

    you?

I don't really like or dislike it. There are brief times when I just need quiet time (like right now) but for the most part, I'm a social introvert (ie voyeur!)

I haven't been to the cinema in ages but I went to see Titanic on my own when I was 12 :D.
My friends didn't want to go but I did.

I'd prefer to go to the cinema alone, to be honest, even though I do enjoy going with my other half...I think I'd be able to focus more and take it all in...............rather than waking my OH up as he has a tendency to fall asleep in the cinema :D

When was the last time you were on the DART?

'93 Fiat Tipo. Ironically, after having something like 15 other cars of all shapes and sizes in the meantime, I drive a 5 door 1.4 Fiat Bravo which was the eventual successor to the Tipo.

I had my first and only spin on the DART over the Summer when my sister was living somewhere near Blackrock.

Yes I do! It ain't easy for a weakling, but it's important for every driver to know how to change a tyre.

Have you ever fallen asleep standing up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,421 ✭✭✭AppleBottle

Once. It was the first day back at college and I didn't sleep at all the entire night. By the time I was on my way home I was exhausted. I was waiting in the train station and standing against a well and drifted off. My legs went from under me and I got a fright and woke immediately back up.

I could never pick a favourite breed. Lived with a couple of collies for a while (housemates dogs- the dogs themselves weren't the housemates... I don't even think it would be legal for a collie to sign a lease... they weren't even eighteen for a start) but they were cool.

Dogue de bourdoux, though I love literally every kind of dog you could think of. Even dogs I don't know of yet, I'm sure I'd love them. Dogs are amazing and we are the better for having them in our lives.

Nope. I can safely say I haven't ironed anything in my life.
My other half irons everything and even if he wasn't in my life, I would hire someone to do it.

I only like Yankee candles 'cos they're the only ones I can smell when they're lighting.
My favourite scent is Clean Cotton/Fresh Linen.

Not anymore BUT I used to own a quite fabulous pink and black satin hat with pigs printed all over it.
I got it in Blackpool when I was a kid and my Mam called it my "Jamiroquai" hat.
Sadly, I left it behind on the Stena Line HSS but it was a fabulous hat.

    Do you wear hats?

The odd time. I have a nice Kangol hat that I'd love to wear but I'd be afraid it'd get me beaten up by rough teenagers. You know how they can be.
