Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My first proper bike, or my roller blades.
I remember flying around the kitchen tiles on them on Christmas morning and my fathers childless friend green in the face waiting for me or my brother to be bursted open when we fell :D I loved those roller blades.

    Did you own roller blades

    No, never saw the appeal.

Are you all sorted for Christmas? Bet you that's the first time you've heard that recently.

It varies year to year but this year I am staying home.

What is your favourite Xmas dessert?

What is your favourite Xmas dessert?

We're always too full for dessert.
Two Christmases ago, I made Tiramisu but made the mistake of making it in deep Bailey's glasses.
I never knew Tiramisu was so rich and heavy, even if it was delicious.
If I had to have a dessert, I'd probably say something like lemon sorbet or something equally as light.

Pineapple on your pizza or no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

I have a slice of Christmas cake after the trifle but no custard. Old habits die hard.

    When do holidays begin?

Pineapple on pizza is grand for me

What about these new chocolate pizzas yeh or nay?

Wednesday the 23rd, hopefully will be a quiet enough day.

    Any Christmas party planned?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

No Christmas party. Just happy to finish up next week.

What would you like to receive for Christmas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 875 ✭✭✭jaded_pause

What would you like to receive for Christmas?

I need new runners, and I'm going to order them today. I would also like a few crafting supplies and some new slippers, oh and a top or something for the day itself. I'm super easy to buy for these days!

Do you get dressed up for xmas day?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

The past couple of years I have worn a Christmas jumper with jeans or a skirt so definitely more comfort than anything and I do enjoy a bit of cheesy Christmas fashion :)

Will you wear a Christmas jumper at some point over the silly season?

Probably not. Mainly because I hate wearing jumpers in general. They're too warm and then awkward to take on and off. Give me a good zip hoodie any day.

What's better, The Santa clause or Miracle on 34th street?

No, not particularly but my housemates do (son and OH :D) So I have gotten in some Terry's chocolate orange for them.

    Your thoughts on Christmas cake?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,073 ✭✭✭Rubberlegs

Don't like it, I find it and Christmas pudding too heavy. My mince pie consumption makes up for it though ;)

Go on holiday with all of my work commitments taken care of and come home just in time for Christmas.

How often do you use public transport?

How often do you use public transport?

Luas twice a day. Mostly use taxi's if going out and about. I'll get a bus home if it's late and traffic is quiet as it's quicker than Luas.

    Have you ever been punched?

Thinking of going down the neolithic diet route this xmas - raw veg and just eat the first animal I find outside the front door.

    Do you like gladiator movies?

I'm not a huge fan of roast dinners so once a year I make the most of it. Little bitta turkey, LOADS of ham. Mash, yorkshire puds and loads of gravy. As little veg as I can get away with. I like veg, just not broccoli and sprouts.

How do you handle your Xmas food coma?

Little early evening siesta usually does the job.

Where will you spend Christmas this year?

Kept in the bag. I'm a rare Irish non-tea drinker. Or coffee either. Glass of water if you insist I drink something in your home.

Ever teabag someone or get tea-bagged?
