Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

@Lexie: Never too early for bed. Go for it.

@Cantdecide: No, not really. I would never knowingly eat olives or artichokes though.

    Do you read books?

    What's your favourite quote?

  • Registered Users Posts: 875 ✭✭✭jaded_pause

    What's your favourite quote?

“Gotta have opposites dark and light, light and dark in painting. It’s like in life. Gotta have a little sadness once in a while so you know when the good times come. I’m waiting on the good times now.” - Bob Ross, he said it in an episode of "The Joy of Painting" shortly after his wife died.

Did that make you smile and sad at the same time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

Didnt make me emotive at all but i undestand it.

No, I dont. Have no idea what they are!

If you got a letter in the post that was for someone with a similar address to you...but the post office delivered it to your house...would you dump it or re-post it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

If it was next door I'd drop it in myself, if it was far away I'd give it back to the postman and tell him he ****ed up. Wouldn't dump it. It could be someone's last letter to someone or something important

When did you last post a letter

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

We posted a letter to Santa on tuesday.

Was that leaving it a bit late?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

How can you tell the difference between being run down and being sick

Run down is when you're hit by a car and sick is a virus or infection.

If you have strapping on your arm do you pick it off bit by bit or rip it off in one go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Jamaican Me Crazy

Aches and pains and / or snots usually indicate sickness. Generally feeling tired and a bit crap or getting mouth ulcers / cold sores etc usually means run down.

A text message popped up on my screen while I was typing this question and I almost typed the response to the text message here.
Would that have been terribly embarrassing?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

    No!

What was the last text you recieved

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,045 ✭✭✭✭gramar

What was the last text you recieved

At my sisters wedding in August. Really cramped room and I wanted to go outside and the window was right behind me :)

    As above.

Last time you lost your keys

Ah I can't keep up. Lost them about 2 years ago in The Globe. Keep meaning to ask if they have them. It was the only key that turned smoothly in my door.

What's the longest work poop you can get away with?

No, I think I need the change of scenery and I'd probably get nothing done by letting myself get distracted.

Can you identify people by the sound of their footsteps?

I have no idea, been a while.

Could you explain what you understand by the term 'mickey money honey'?

    Picture the scene.
    NW 15 body,
    NC 35 face.
    Hoopy earrings.
Micro beads dripping from their head, may be bald in patches from having said microbeads reefed out of their head.
Or microbeads being pulled up into a stunhun bun.
Will usually be seen wearing something leopard print.
Will be of course a full time mammy to little angles

Does that mean anything to you?

    Not a huge amount.
NW 15 body and NC 35 face are code words I don't understand.
Not sure what micro beads are either.
A full time mammy to acute angles also has me perplexed.

If you had to choose between leopard, tiger or giraffe print which would you go for?

    Neither would suit me.
