Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't. I never liked anything touching off my feet in the water at the beach. Seaweed, crabs, stones etc. The sea terrifies me.

Reading any books at the moment?

Yeah, not really into it but more than 2/3's of the way through so I'll tough it out.

Ever wonder how some books become bestsellers?

    Suppose!

Do you judge books by their covers

I'd say a lot of them become popular by getting a good review and then lots of people just buy them so that they can claim/be seen to be reading them.

Ever get into a fight with a child?

Not since I was one. Better off...I'd probably lose.

Last Wednesday I believe. I wanted money out but only in €20s.

Ever tempted to rob a bank?

Kinda. We have some wild cats in the garden. I wouldn't know how to pick them up or handle them though.

No I did something to my back yesterday and I'm still in agony. Feeling decrepit despite being only 30 haha.

Yep, the one you get a boat to off Howth pier, the name escapes me!

    Are McD's breakfasts any good?

I haven't had one in years. I quite like the pancakes even though they leave a horrible floury feeling on the teeth.

Is there anyone you regret losing touch with?

was james mclean right to turn back on british anthem?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

No, it was disrespectful. No one was asking him to swear allegiance to the queen, but he works for an english club and lives in england. He should treat their anthem with the respect that he would like them to treat our anthem.
He is a role model for many english and irish kids and this was not a good example to set for them.

Have I rabbited on a bit too much about this?!

In my mind, yeah. A huge wedding wouldn't be for me whatsoever.

If someone you loved who was sick or injured begged you to kill them, would you?

If there was no chance of recovery and they were only going to get worse even with the best available treatments (e.g. terminal illness like cancer or end stage MS) I'd consider it.

did you celebrate your last birthday?

    Did the weekend fly bye?

No. Was offered that deal by a foreigner for my old car on car zone where he lets on to send more money than car is worth to cover the transport of it in exchange for you sending him back the balance. Think it happened to me couple of times so they must be catching someone out.

What's the last spontaneous thing you did?

  • Registered Users Posts: 484 ✭✭NicoleW85

Hung out the washing to dry. It's nearly 8pm. That's pretty spontaneous :p
    Also risky as hell...

Do you have a 'traditional' Sunday dinner every week or does anything go?

Depends if my wife is working or not. If it's me and kids we keep it simple!

    What's your favourite roast dinner?

  • Registered Users Posts: 484 ✭✭NicoleW85

Ah has to be my father in laws roast spuds & Yorkshire puds (the proper ones, not aunt Bessie's type), roast chicken and hubby's mash & gravy. Veg on the side to make it look good haha.

Does talking about food automatically make you hungry?
