Gaming legend Sid Meier's SNES dev kit being auctioned for charity

It's not Sid Meier auctioning it; it's something Sid Meier once used. Bidding starts at $5,999 and only 10% of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Pure opportunistic greed-fest by some scrote-ball. And a poorly fact-checked article, made all the more woeful by a cursory read of the ebay auction details.

Edit: I think the thread title should be changed to reflect the fact that it's not Sid Meier doing this, and possibly not even with his approval (if it's even needed).

Well, how much is it worth without the alleged earlier owner?
