    Hi, I want to buy a wide lens for my boyfriends canon 500D. He has a 18-55mm 1:3.5 - 5.6 and 50mm1:1.8 lens both of which are good but don't take full framed pictures. He is looking for a wide lens to take pictures of buildings and landscapes. My budget is €500 give or take. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

    I would be looking at this lens here;

    Sigma 10-20mm F3.5

    Have one myself and it's the business. The F4-5.6 is a 100 euro cheaper;

    Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6

    That's the dog's bollocks right there. For that budget anyway.

    The new Canon 10-18mm is currently €270 in Argos. Haven't tried it myself but it seems like a bargain.

    I've the Sigma and it's a great lens.

    At that money the Canon looks like good value right now though
