Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Even Falcao would have buried that

He would have scored that if it wasn't for that mask.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭ollie1

    Should have scored that chance

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,292 ✭✭✭GreNoLi

    Take the mask off.

    Hows this still 0-0

    :pac:

Only consolation for Bayern there is that Barca have bottled so many of their own chances.

So many chances being fluffed already.

What a waste of a free kick that was

Alonso looks finished at the game.

Watching this game really strikes me how the standard in the EPL really has declined, both these teams streets ahead of Chelsea.

The PL was never ever ever this good

Alonso could have 3 European cups with 3 different clubs. Anyone else ever do it.

Glorious pass from Iniesta, some great football on show here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Yeah, Seedorf. Ajax 95, Madrid 98, and Milan in 03 (was it?) and 07.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Neuer has some kind of beef with the official behind the goal

Probably asked him what he's actually there for

Never a yellow that alonso just got

Barca and bayern in surprise shock that they are better than English teams.

He should have a free out earlier in that passage for the late challenge by Messi.

Yellow might have been for complaining about it too. I thought he ran up to the ref about it at the end of it all.

Anyone else watching on the player or on a stream? I've just crowd noise and no commentary. Weird.

    Anyone seen Neymar?

enjoyable half of football. How it's goalless is beyond me. Greats saves from neuer but Suarez had to score his chance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Anyone seen Neymar?

Sanchez would have been a much better fit for them.

He's been anonymous. Not at his best when asked to defend

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,312 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

Would be interesting to see who the neutrals want to win here. 50/50?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

As good a 0-0 half of football you will ever see. Guardiola's tactics and subsequent tweaks, the aggressive pressing of both sides, the speed that ball is zipping around at and the magic of the Barcelona front 3, it's how football should be, it's football developed in Barcelona and executed by both sides tonight in a packed and appreciative Camp Nou. Wonderful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

This game can't finish 0-0 can it.

Neutrals should all be Barca fans, they play the best football in the world.

Two very good games so far. So glad a Mourinho team is not in the semis this year.

You remind of that German guy aonghus van bismark in after hours but instead of fine culture, it's soccer.

Why? It's always fun to see him bottle the semi finals. Hasn't won one since 2010.

This year is very enjoyable, yeah. Wasn't a big fan under Pep. Just like I far preferred watching Bayern before Pep, too.

    Each to their own, though.

Best football is subjective. Plenty of people don't really call all the diving and theatrics of Dani Alves, Busquets, Neymar, Mascherano, and Suarez as the best football in the world.

    Absolutely not.

But if Sanchez played for Barca you'd be sucking his balls and don't pretend you wouldn't.
