Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good Night Bayern.

Tie over by the player who shouldn't be on the pitch.

The irony of the RTE pundits praising the ref.

Unlucky Bayern, neymar shouldn't be on the pitch.

Complete reversal from Bayern Barca in 12/13.

    Tie over, well done.

Love messi embracing neymar there, if it was ronnie he would have walked away in a huff.

Hope the ref gets his jersey signed by all the Barca players!

Zidane was good, but I'd put Messi ahead of him.

Only player comparable to Messi is Maradona.

Both far ahead of the competition.

    When is Robben back?

He's playing up front with for Bayern. Or is that Batman? Can't tell with the mask tbh.

Deserved scoreline. Could have been 3 nil after 20 mins.

Does that result mean the end of Pep's time in Munich?

    Agreed.

However, Messi was on form tonight and the difference yet again. He mightn't have the stength, aerial ability and power that Ronaldo possesses... but he proves time and time again hes the most skillful player in the world with an end product.

A Genius - and as unlucky Bayern were Barca deserved the win. 3-0 flatters them a bit though.

For the humiliation of 2 years ago, the debt has been repaid a million times over. Barcelona are back, the Blaugrana on the rise, a treble potentially beckons for the most sublime side you may ever lay your eyes on. Visca el Barcelona!

I wouldn't be surprised if Pep gets sacked from Bayern, this is the second year in a row his team has been dismantled in a Semi Final. Bayern did miss Robben and Ribery for sure. I can't see Bayern getting 4 in the home match without Barca scoring. Great game but you could see Bayern were done after 75 minutes.

    Is that a fact?

Madonna was highly overrated, and yes, Messi is far better than most.

I shouldn't have laughed at that!

Bayern missing a bit of pace and width imo. That said, Pep was outsmarted here. Even with the injuries, they could have gotten a draw out of this handily if they went about it more cautiously. Great match though. Thrilling.

Any decent ref would have sent Neymar off for a) getting in his face or b) a blatant dive in the box which ultimately led to the first goal

For what? Yes he goes down in the box, there's contact but not enough for a penalty. Not a penalty but also not a dive, there's an in between you know.

Anyway I don't care, Barcelona are back baby!

Although this might happen, they were beaten playing the football they like to practice. I wouldnt be disappointed if I was a bayern supporter. They did their best and they still have the 2nd leg... :S

Bayern only had one decent scoring chance all game. One!

Barcelona had quite a few. Deserved win and maybe 3 was one goal too many. But the win was utterly deserved Bayern had the ball and did little with it.

But that's always been Peps way, go all out attack. He's not a Sir Alex, he's a good coach who had some of the best players to pick from at Barca. While at Bayern I doubt he get troubled in the German league but in Europe he's been outsmarted twice in the CL in the last two years. He's no Plan B.

Nah, his "ignored-by" list is longer than Messi's list of goals.

Madonna is a highly overrated artist definitely. :)

Maradona did everything Zidane could do, and more, at supersonic speed.
