Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Enjoyed the race immensely. Connections must be over the moon, they surely didn't realise the horse they had on their hands coming into the season. I wonder what O,briens plan for the Irish derby is now?

The irish Derby could be an even better race if new bay , highland reel ,and todays derby placed horses were to show up.

Despite a lot of people crabbing the quality of the race beforehand and the lack of strength in depth I thought it looked to be a strong enough renewal on first watching.

Delighted to see Golden Horn win convincingly (backed him in the Dante but not today) - potential superstar in the making IMO, still think 10 furlongs is his optimum though. That Nottingham maiden he won last year was a hot enough race in hindsight!

    And Pleascach.

New Bay unlikely to turn up at The Curragh. Grand Prix de Paris for him, I'd say.

People always say the Derby is poor, and then wait for the winner to struggle to win, or beat older horses.
Horses improve after the race, and the Derby tells connections what suits. I think the first four in the Derby have potential, and Hans Holbein or Kilimanjaro could mature into good Cup horses.

A nice way of saying they're slow!
