I am considering going over to New York on my own for up to a week in the summer, would appreciate a to do list, what would you do if you were going alone?does it look strange going into bars and restaurants on your own over there? is a week too much for new york?

As for eating and/or drinking alone, it's very common in NYC. Nobody cares. Bring a book to the restaurant

NYC is probably one of the best cities in the world to go to bars on your own.
