Aguero>Giroud that'll leave me a ton of cash in the bank so I wouldn't be surprised if I spend 4 for the craic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Have 3 Arsenal and PVA so will probably go for Danny Graham for the craic ;)

    pva in, someone out
    defoe in, vardy out

    that should cover it nicely

Vardy --> Defoe is good move, not much difference in value either.

Really should have taken my own advice and got rid of southampton defensive coverage as soon as Forster got injured both Davis and gazzaninga are awful goalkeepers.

Panti in for Davis, Ramsey in for someone.

Mahrez in for Fabregas. I'll try and get a couple of price rises out of him before moving him on :)

Hull losing today is disappointing. Relegation battle may be over next week, leaving nothing for any club to play for in GW38.

    Kane out, Defoe in

This was my planned transfer too but there are plenty of things that make me think twice about it:
    • Leicester are in great form
    • They have two nice fixtures left against Sunderland and QPR
    • Vardy has 45 points in his last eight fixtures
    • Defoe hasn't been pulling up trees (31 points in the same number of fixtures)

But hey, Defoe has three games to Vardy's two so he has a good chance of scoring more.

The othe option is to lose Kane... (37 points in the same number of fixtures) but he'll surely score a couple more before the season ends?!

I'm thinking of dumping Kane over Vardy. Read a stat that he didn't touch the ball in the opposition box in the first half today.

Spurs are definitely on the beach, but the main trepidation I have with dumping Kane is that Hull have to go for it leaving space behind.

    Kane --> Defoe

Is Gomez Sunderland's first choice penalty taker?
If so might do Henderson --> Gomez

    Yep, he is indeed.

Was thinking of banking as was expecting some signs of life from Kane soon, but now he has to go. Sunderland improved a lot when they put Defoe up front with Graham rather than wide, he could well do a job in the DGW.

My season is imploding. Need to get rid of Rooney (dont ask)...but not tempted to take a 4 to get Aguero in. Plenty of thinking to do...and am not very motivated to do that thinking!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,370 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Banking it this week. Prefer to have the extra ft for the final GW as I've already got a headache over who to bench in 37 with all the good fixtures. Hoping rivals take a -4

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

    Vardy --> Defoe probably
Would leave me with 5 for the dgw

Ramsey or Kos to fill my third Arsenal spot.

Ramsey or Kos to fill my third Arsenal spot.

Looks like I'll be using my 2 FTs to get in both of them. The question then is whether to take a -4 to get in another Sunderland player.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 214 ✭✭Smartguy

Was planning on transferring silva and Kane out for Giroud and Gomez for -4 but now not so sure.

I may just be boring and get an arsenal defender in now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,451 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Think I'll take a -4. Would like Ospina in, and think a punt on a Sunderland player too (maybe PVA).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

I will have great pleasure in transferring Sterling out.

For anyone. Maybe even a tub of lard.

Hazard seemed to be in holiday mode today, that with Jose's tactics might lead me to sell,am I mad?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,264 ✭✭✭✭km79

now have 3 ways I might go
1 Ivan to PVA and then henderson to ramsey\ozil\cazorla
    2. Ivan to PVA and Kane to giroud
    both would be -4
    3 mata to cazorla

    ???????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,810 ✭✭✭✭jimmii

Plan was Aguero>Giroud but it looks like Aguero is still a little hungry! Could do Hazard>Cazorla/Ozil but don't fancy them as much as Giroud. Ohhh Giroud!

    Hazard bench against WBA?

“In the last game against Sunderland I will play the players who have played the most minutes this season. They were the base of the team that won the title. But against West Brom, on Monday night, as they are safe and no other team is affected, I will play Loftus-Cheek, Nathan Ake and also Izzy Brown."

I'm resigned to him not playing next week but no way I am selling him before the Sunderland home game on the last day!
I might bench him or just accept his cameo and hope he scores in it!

It popped into my head earlier in the day that this might happen, when I read in the matchday thread that he was having a quiet game. Without taking a hit, I can only afford Ramsey/Ozil/Cazorla by selling Hazard (or Silva), so maybe making that move might be a good idea in my case. Hazard to Ramsey would give me a nice 2.1m for the final GW.

If I switch Kane for Defoe, I have 8.2m for an Arsenal mid. That's a bit short of Caz, Ramsey, and Ozil, but is exactly the right amount for Theo! I'm suddenly getting a crazy idea! Or else an inspired move, can't figure out which!

Some big decisions to be made. I don't know if I could live with myself if I sold him now and then he hit a hat trick against Sunderland

he will be very very fresh for their last home game when they pick up their trophy.......his first league title with Chelsea.......double digit score .......he is a big captaincy option in my eyes anyway

Certainly if Sunderland are safe by then it could be a big score.

Is Jordi Gomez a defensive mid? Would it be madness getting him in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,537 ✭✭✭touts

Thinking of getting rid of Kane. He has completely switched off. The last thing he had to play for this season was golden boot but Aguero's hat trick this week basically put an end to that. Think I'll gamble on Defoe. Sunderland look poised to go on a Leicester and they looked a lot better in the second half on Saturday when Defoe was pushed up front.

What could destroy that plan is Ramsey. He is listed as 50% chance of playing this week. If he doesn't play then he has to be a major doubt for the remaining matches this year. He doesn't tend to do simple knocks. When he gets injured he is generally out for weeks or months. With nothing left to play for this year Wenger might just leave him out and avoid the risk of turning a minor injury into a serious injury that would impact on the start of next season. It will be interesting to see what happens this evening. If he doesn't play I think I'll get rid of him for another Arsenal player and that'll be my sub for the DGW.

He is on penalties and seemed to be a lot more attacking in the last couple of games. I got him in last week.

So only Mr. P thanked this post. I'm going to assume that puts it in the category of 'crazy idea' then!

Have one Sunderland and three arsenal players so I might be boring and bank it so I can make two changes without punishment on the last week

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

Wait and ye'll see, ye'll all see when Theo scores a hat-trick against Sunderland :D Seriously I am considering taking the punt if it looks like he may have a chance of starting that game.

    Option A Aguero>Giroud
    Option B Sterling & Kane>Larsson & Giround (-4)

Already have Defoe & Panti so I would be very exposed to Sunderland if I take B.

    Definitely B for me.

It doesn't have to be a Sunderland player you bring in though, does it? It could be someone you think will do well on the final GW.

Heres a question. Kane seems to be completely switched off, I have a strong urge to get rid of him. Hull will be fighting for their survival literally at WHL.

Defoe seems an obvious option however I'm not so sure about Sunderland fowards, in terms of their ability to score goals, their form and their fixtures.

So if I want to get rid of Kane for the last two gameweeks who would you go for? I have a budget of up to £10m.

Only restrictions are that I am Arensal-ed out so no Giroud, and I have and will be keeping Aguero and Benteke.

    Go for it!

What about a leicester forward? Also fighting for survival, in great form, and play Sunderland and QPR in their last games.

Maybe! Have Albrighton and Huth already, but Liecester are the golden ticket these days. Ulloa back in form big time, even getting flukey assists at the weekend for heading down to Mahrez who goes on a run and hits a sreamer!

    Mame Biram Diouf.

Stoke have been on holidays for months so could be waking up again. A goal at the weekend. Burnley away and Liverpool at home.

    It's something a little different :)

Also good. A lot of negatives getting a player with nothing to play for, but it does appear nobody will have anything to play for GW38.

What about Rooney? Am very tempted by Mata for GW38 though with United always capable of goals and a (potentially) demoralised recently relegated Hull.
