11-05-2015 12:19pmHi All,
Any idea what you could offer me in the not so exciting price range of €600 max.
42" would suit me just fine, but sometimes we can get few more inches at no cost so a little bigger than that would be just fine.
I watch a lot of sport and movies so quality and response is the main priority. Doesn't have to be too smart or anything really.
Throw me some ideas when you have a time, I will be buying at the end of the month so plenty of time.
Thanks in advance, and let me remind you I am a returning customer;)
Need it to be delivered, too btw, so none of your in-store only deals would work for me, unfortunately.1

Is the Panasonic 40cs520b worth extra €60 over the Bravia btw? They (Panasonics)are being sold in the UK for £379 at this moment, so would expect you to come a little closer to it tbh (I agree the delvery cost is bigger when shipping to ROI).
At that price point these 2 models would be very similar I guess?0 -

Where have you seen the Panasonic 40 for the £379 and I can see about price beating it.
Few differences between the Sony and the Panasonic.
Panasonic is back lite LED, the Sony Edge lite.
The Sony will do USB recording the Pana will not.
The Panasonic is DLNA compliant the Sony is not.
The Pansonic is wireless the Sony not.
The Panasonic has a full web browser again the Sony does not.
So if you want to stream the Panasonic is worth the extra.
We have the Panasonic running here in our store and the picture is great on it.0 -

Unfortunately it seems they only offer a 1 year warranty where as we offer a free 5 year on it.
They charge £4.99 per month for their extended warranty.
We can only beat the price if it a like for like deal.
http://euro.richersounds.ie/t-pricebeat.aspx
If purchased from us in sterling it works out at £399.00 plus £6.99 shipping. Working out at 579.98 Euro.0 -

Will be ordering at the end of the month, but this Panasonic is a strong contender.
Won't ask you to hold one for me at that price, but will be in touch.
Thanks again.
Is the edge lite in the Bravia considerably better than regular back lite led used in Panasonic? Bravia has some reputation, but is that difference worth anything these days? You guys have them all under one roof so you know the answer I hope.
I will be upgrading from some few years old Finlux so anything will be better anyway.0 -

No problem at all.
In my opinion the Backlit is better. In saying that I have yet to see the Sony up and running as of yet.
Here is a little blurb on the Edgelit/backlit debate:
Back lit LED
Back lit LED TVs do exactly what they say on the tin, and use LEDs behind the LCD screen to light it up. This technology has got increasingly clever in the last few years, and now these types of LED TVs provide some of the best picture quality that money can buy. Their real strength is through a feature called local dimming: instead of acting in unison, the LEDs behind the screen can vary in power individually, which means you can get really deep blacks and bright whites on display at the same time. It results in what’s called high “Dynamic contrast ratio”, and it certainly beats only being able to see one or the other at one time.
Edge lit LED
Not all LED lit LCD TVs hoard their LEDs behind the screen: some new models house the LEDs on the sides of the screen. Their light is then diffused into the screen, still resulting in great colour. The real killer feature of this technology is that it means TVs can be slimmed down to absurd levels, which makes for beautiful looking screens that sit comfortably on your living room wall. Take the edge lit LED Toshiba WL and SL series TVs: they measure just a couple of centimetres deep.
Which is better?
This isn’t broadband versus dial up: there’s no clear cut victor here, and both types of LED TV tech have some major selling points. On the one hand, design obsessives itching to put their TV on the wall will appreciate edge lit screens. Those who simply want to get the best out of a Blu-ray and don’t care about how the TV looks may prefer the backlit approach. Sure, these screens are thicker, but if you’re about function over form, you may not mind how close to the wall those HDMI ports on the back are.

Your price with 5 years warranty looks better now when I checked exchange rates. Euro seems to be weaker than last time I ordered something from UK.
Will have a look at few more models and let you know soon.

Need it to be delivered, too btw, so none of your in-store only deals would work for me, unfortunately.
Thanks for coming back to us.
Few 40" screen to start with as a few of the manufactures run with this size.
Sony 40R453 priced at 538.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

The NEW Panasonic 40CS520 coming in at 599.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

LG 42 LF580 priced at 644.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

Up to the 50" then we have the Blaupunkt 50/148Z priced at 499.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

Also Pansaonic 50AS500 priced at 628.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

Let me know if any of the above catch your eye or any questions please ask.
Thanks.
Is the Panasonic 40cs520b worth extra €60 over the Bravia btw? They (Panasonics)are being sold in the UK for £379 at this moment, so would expect you to come a little closer to it tbh (I agree the delvery cost is bigger when shipping to ROI).
At that price point these 2 models would be very similar I guess?
Where have you seen the Panasonic 40 for the £379 and I can see about price beating it.
Few differences between the Sony and the Panasonic.
Panasonic is back lite LED, the Sony Edge lite.
The Sony will do USB recording the Pana will not.
The Panasonic is DLNA compliant the Sony is not.
The Pansonic is wireless the Sony not.
The Panasonic has a full web browser again the Sony does not.
So if you want to stream the Panasonic is worth the extra.
We have the Panasonic running here in our store and the picture is great on it.
In stock and ready to ship..
Keep me posted and thanks for the opportunity to quote,
ATVB,
John Mc & Crew
Will be ordering at the end of the month, but this Panasonic is a strong contender.
Won't ask you to hold one for me at that price, but will be in touch.
Thanks again.
Is the edge lite in the Bravia considerably better than regular back lite led used in Panasonic? Bravia has some reputation, but is that difference worth anything these days? You guys have them all under one roof so you know the answer I hope.
I will be upgrading from some few years old Finlux so anything will be better anyway.
No problem at all.
