Momentum Programme Work Experience

    I am going to do my work experience after 23 weeks college with the Momentum programme run by solas. Has anyone done the momentum programme before and done the work experience part. Do they send people out at random to check on you or do they call you before going. How many calls did they do they did. Thank you.

    They won't need to check up on you, the employer who's taking you on for work experience will do that for them... so if you're missing days, you'll almost certainly get reported.

    whereas during the momentum programme itself, the training providers have a more 'relaxed' view on attendance since they don't get paid for people who drop out and they get paid per student per week. the employer providing the work experience on the other hand has higher expectations and has nothing to lose by reporting someone who isn't showing up for their placement.

    so if you're thinking about dossing... don't do so and expect not to get found out.
