Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello,

I have an old mountain bike frame I am looking to convert to a singlespeed, just for the craic really, have a road bike I use regularly and want to have another bike for 2km trip to work and for messing around on. Have it pretty much fully stripped. I think the dropouts are suitable they are horizontal, so I wont need a tensioner hopefully. I'm looking for advice on a wheel with flip flop hub (want fixie and singlespeed options), a suitable chainring and whether I need to change the bottom bracket. BB is square taper.

Plan is to sort the mechanicals, keep the front brake and then take it apart again and possibly get it powder coated.

Can't post photos at the moment because I'm a new user apparently.

Any advice and discussion is appreciated.
