Laptop Problem

Im having a couple of problems with my laptop, I have never owned a laptop before so i dont know what is normal - ect...

My laptop is custom built for gaming.
    i7 4710
    GTX 970m
    8GB Ram

The problems im having with it is when gaming, ( I only really play CS:GO ) So I can only really speak about that, but when something happens in the game like an explosion or a round in the game ends or starts it lag spikes i dont know if this is down to the laptop or my internet, I'm using an external wifi adapter not the original one. I cant say the name of the adapter off my head right now but i now it was high end - 40 -50 euro worth.

Next Problem is when after a long time of gaming the laptop can just freeze like it does not work unless you hold down the power button and turn it back on.

Then i have had 2 blue screens but there really random one after a gaming session then another while just doing nothing.

I had blue screens at random on all of my machines so they dont really bother me unless it very consistent but the freezing has happened quite a bit and im just wondering is any of these normal for a high end gaming laptop needing a lot of power or should i consider sending it back and get them to check it out.

The laptop was very expensive so i just dont want to be having problems now and having worse problems down the line.

    Thanks

    Luke

Sounds like it cant cool itself. What make/who built it?

That sounds like either a cooling problem, or you need to update your graphics card drivers. Try updating your drivers and see if it improves the situation at all

Is there proper ventilation around it, really sounds like a cooling issue...

Try lowering your settings first to see if it helps

Thanks for the reply guys, Well it is custom built by PC Specialist.

    http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/defiance-15/

That's the case. The case is really nice, well built 2 exhaust vents and its got 4 fans underneath it i always have them on full blast when I'm on it.
I also want to get a stand with a fan for it for extra cooling but haven't had the time or money to do so yet.

I checked the drivers and they all seem to be all up to date. So unless something is configured wrong ?

    GO to 1024x768 resolution,
reduce graphics settings ,reduce shadows, bullet effects etc to grahics settings ,medium ,or low in cs go .
Make sure there,s at least 5gig free space on the hardrive .
I think it would have been alot easier cheaper to build a pc with a good grahics card .
A Laptop with 4 fans sounds like total overkill to me .
i had 2 laptops die from overheating,.
i did not realise i was blocking the fans ,by putting laptop on a t flat table .

my present laptop has 1 side fan ,fan comes on for 2 minutes every 12minutes.
maybe stop playing cs go until you have a proper stand .
Look in dealz for cheap laptop stand 2 euro.
download a few demos, play them ,
is there still blue screens .
    it sounds like its overheating,
or maybe you are playing in 1200x1200.with high graphics settings .
    an overly high resolution .

well like the laptop has no problem playing the game, i can play dying light in ultra settings with 60+ FPS and i have a temperature gauge that says my GPU is always at max 50 degrees on high load which is fine and if it goes higher then 80 it beeps like mad to warn me.
That only happened twice because i was gaming in bed, not enough airflow.
And second was gaming with out the right settings for the fans i had it on power saving so when i was gaming the fans were not spinning fast enough.

when ever im not on a game the laptop is running at 30 degrees it has great cooling so i really don't no why.

the problem with laptops is the fan outlets are usually placed underneath,
if the vents are blocked by anything ,
    The laptop will overheat quickly.
MY laptop has one side vent .so its never blocked .

my laptop has 2 side vents so that shouldn't be a problem.

Excellent HelpWithIT right there ;) But yep, if its under warranty, then no point in messing around with it too much. Send it back and ask for a replacement.
