    Hi,

I signed up to electric Ireland last week, can someone advise when I can expect the bill to arrive?

    Thanks,
    Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,

    Thanks for choosing Electric Ireland.

Your first bill would not be based on when you signed up, but on what stage of the two-month (approximately) billing cycle for your district is (when ESB Networks read the meters for electricity and Gas Networks Ireland read the gas meters; if they do not read them, the bills are estimated).

Payment of a bill in full is due two weeks from the date of issue, and if a customer needs more time, we can set up a payment plan no problem.

If the customer pays by direct debit, it would be advisable to contact us immediately if they need a payment plan, as there is a more limited window of time for this to be set up (a direct debit is presented to the bank five working days in advance of the collection date). We can set up payment plans here on Boards.

Online billing (instead of postal billing) is the fastest way to view a new bill. Registration for online billing can be completed here.

We would recommend sending in a meter-reading whenever a bill is estimated.

Do let us know if you would like further information - we are here on Boards.ie until 6pm.

    Regards,
    Una
