    Hi

Long shot , my uncle is restoring a Land Rover series two 1967 and needs the passenger side throttle linkage bar as per the attached picture ( part highlighted in red ).

He has searched here , the Uk and the States without any success and i was wondering if anyone here would either

    1. have one they are willing to sell

    or

2 know where to get one.

    thanks in advance

    brendan

Make one ...or get one made. You can buy the ball and socket ends but they will be like the two ends on the short linkage at the back of your pic. The ball will have a threaded end to take a nut ( they look like 1/4 inch) and the solid ball on the brackets of the linkage will have to be cut off and the appropriate hole drilled.
The rod looks like 1/4 again , it's a very simple matter of getting hold of a piece of rod and threading either end and Bobs your uncle..find a small engineering shop to do it for you (probably have an off cut ) if you or your uncle aren't able..

Imperial brass bar can be got on ebay at quite a reasonable price as too can the Rose and Ball joints.

No bother making it up as brass is easily worked.

I've only got a series 3 catalogue and it uses different ends (531394) and plain bent rod

The modern version of those ball joint ends is
    http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/13754/AAU2003-ACCELERATOR-LINK-BALL-JOINT-ASSEMBLY.html?search=531324&page=1

The thread on the rod is 2BA going by the locknut size http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/11036/RTC608-NUT-HEX-2BA.html?search=2247&page=1 which is 4.7mm over the threads.

If you took the picture and any pits in to somewhere like Air Impact they'd sort an equivalent.

Also if you ask on the Land Rover Owners Ireland group on Facebook someone will probably send you one for next to nothing.
