Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hurling Playing Rule question

How often or can a referee advance the ball following "discussion" over the awarding of a free ? I believe the rule is that the free cannot be advanced past the 20m line, however I'm not sure if the free can be advanced more than once.

My understanding would be it can only be moved once. On the 20m line it cannot be moved inside it but can be moved closer to the centre of the goal.

Edit: Quick search found this on Dissent

To challenge the authority of a match official.
PENALTY - Caution the offender; order off for second cautionable foul.

To fail to comply with a Referee’s instruction to wear a helmet with facial guard up to and including the Under 21 Grade.
(Note: From 1/1/2010 the words “Up to and including Under 21 Grade” shall be deleted)
Penalty - Caution the offender; order off if he persists.

To refuse to leave the field of play, on the instruction of the Referee, for attention, after an injury involving bleeding.
Penalty - Caution the offender; order off if he continues to refuse.

To show dissent with the referee’s decision to award a free puck to the opposing team.
PENALTY - The free puck already awarded shall be taken 13m more advantageous than the place of original free puck, up to the opponents’ 20m line.

Further dissent on an occasion shall be considered as a breach of Rule 6.1 and shall be penalised accordingly.
