Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This midfield is practically non-existent when defending

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Crystal Palace must practice scoring with quidditch hoops.

Some say he can punch a bird out of the sky, has an irrational fear of spherical objects, and can kick a ball 48 yards out of play.

All we know is, he's The Mig.

He'd have gotten a free for that.

Happens so often that keepers move too early

    Should be saving that.

Shîte goal, Mignolet didn't feel it was worth saving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Think we'll keep Mig after all.

To be fair it's hard to stop the ones not straight at you.

    Very poor goalkeeping

He needs to be moved on or moved to the bench over the summer

Mignolet letting one in so Madrid will drop there interest in him and go after de Gea instead.

Crystal Palace are bang out of order.

Gerrard brings very little to this game other than his children.

Also, Sterling is not a striker. Stop playing him there.

First mistake in months. He has been excellent for the last 5 months.

    Sterling hasn't even brought that.

The man had his mouth covered. No keeper in the world was saving that.

The team looks disjointed from defence right through to attack.

It's probably Sterlings last game at Anfield as well so we won't have to worry about him playing as a striker next season.

Wall in the wrong place, standing in the wrong place, poor goalkeeping..

He's as good up there as our other options. It's not new news that we need to buy two strikers.

Also those getting on Migs back... Just wow... Guy has been (along with Coutinho) our best player since January. More than capable starter for a club with top 4 ambitions.

He's waiting for the stadium extension so he can fit them all in.

It wasn't great but with a left footer hitting the free I think his positioning was fine. It was the step to his right that cost him.

Almost like a team playing like its a testimonial.. Much like almost every team in the league has today. Not saying that's okay but it's pretty common. Nothing to really play for and despite the occasion the crowd (well the Liverpool portion) are very flat.

    Not very realistic though.

    Priorities lie elsewhere, anyway.

Also, "Very poor" is clearly a gross exaggeration, if not totally incorrect.

It doesn't look like a testimonial, it looks like we are playing with no focal point in attack, and a midfield devoid of defensive discipline and defenders not knowing whether to attack the ball or drop off. Just a poorly set up team

We've known this for most of the season, nothing can be done until summer really, no point in continuing the complaints.

Lovern is literally incapable of dealing with Bolaise.

A lot could be sorted by just playing Lucas in the base of midfield.
