    Hi all,
I have an existing light with built in sensor on my shed but was hoping to fit a switch to also allow me to turn it on and off as needed. Can anyone explain how this is done? Thanks in advance, Rob

Most PIR lights have this function where if you click them on and off and on within 2 seconds they'll override the PIR and stay on

Great thanks for your reply! Does this mean that I still have to have the sensor light wired back to a switch?

Yes. The best way to do this would be to run a twin brown from the sensor to the switch. Depending on the location of the cables, light and switch though it may be easier for you to use a junction box and break the live through a switch but the first option is better.

Thanks Aido that makes sense alright. I just couldn't get my head around it with the switch and sensor. Rob
