Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all!

I am considering buying my first bike :D However, I need some advice!

First time buyer, never took a bike for a spin before, previous driving experience is driving a car for the last 8/9 years.

What is the procedure to get a motorbike licence? you obviously need to do a test etc?

Next, regarding insurance, which companies provide this?

Finally, I am looking for a bike similar to a Yahama SR400, for small money, any recommendations?

    Thanks for your help:D

Have a look at the newbie thread, everything you need is in there, including insurance.

Theory test, learner permit, IBT training, wait 6 months, test.

Only other thing I would add is you can rent a bike (& gear) for the IBT so you can see if it's for you before buying a bike.
