Death of Grandfather & process to have ESB account closed

can you provide a link/steps on how we can close our grandads ESB account?

Hi shazza2015,

Thanks for your post, and sorry to hear of the passing of your grandfather.

To close his account we would just need:

• Your grandfather's name and account number
• The date from which to close the account
• The final meter reading ([url="https://www.electricireland.ie/ei/residential/manage-your-account/how-to-read-your-meter.jsp"]how to read your meter[/url])
• A forwarding address for the final bill (e.g. for the executor)
• The new occupant's name and phone number (or the landlord, solicitor or estate agent's name and number).
