    Hi Guys

    Does anyone know do i need to have my company registered in order to obtain a .ie on my domain ... Id prefer to have the domain before i register . Cant find anything online about it

    No, there are a few categories of registration that don't require a company or registered business name.

    Here's one example:

    Check the 'myself' category, 'I want to register a domain for my blog'.

    Register the business name for €20 from cro and then get your domain name for €12. You have the domain name for a year.

    It's the cheaper option. I have seen to many clients register a company by the business name and then do nothing with either and a year later either letting the company be struck off or looking to close it for as cheap as possible.

    If your business model works and you are making some money then register the company.
