I would have him up there in fairness, but that's just me. I've seen Kasabian a few times also and Tom Meighan is a cool guy altogether. He walks on, and he owns the stage. It's noticeably different when he goes to take a break, awesome presence.

Sting is also another. Quite the opposite to the two previously mentioned, it's all about the melodies in conjunction with the voice that get you hooked. He's great.

I dont think he's quite there and he hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, but Matt Bellamy will be up there when this post gets remade in 10 -15 years. He has the showmanship, the raw musicial talent and he's been improving in how he interacts with the crowd directly more recently.

As in the present, it has to be Efrim Menuck for me. He doesn't stand and he's not at the front of the stage.... he doesn't even fookin sing! yet his band, Godspeed You! Black Emperor speaks volumes for many a folk. And an amazing band to see live.

I love Oasis as much as the next guy but I wouldn't put Liam Gallagher in the category of *great* frontmen. He's defintely got a swagger and stage presence but compared to the likes of Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop etc he doesn't move one bit. Standing behind the mic with his hands behind his back is obviously part of his image but a great frontman it does not make. The likes of Freddie and Jagger had crowds wrapped around their little finger, Gallagher just isn't in that kind of league.
