Advice needed on refund issue

Just a quick bit if advice needed on a refund issue I'm having. Bought A postbox for 170 euro, when it arrived I realised it was too big. Rang shop and explained, they offered an alternative, sent courier and collected The old one, still unopened and with all docs and delivered B. The cost of the alternative was 70 euro. They now will not refund me 100 euro less delivery by courier of 18 euro. What can I do other than go to the shop and demand refund? They keep fobbing me off over the phone.

Did you buy this online or by phone; or in a shop and have it delivered? If its the former you have the distance selling regulations on your side. Most normal shops that do delivery are utterly unaware of this.

Hi,

I purchased the initial one over the internet with credit card, a courier delivered it and Have a receipt. For the replacement a courier just delivered it.

How does this help me? Thanks for any help,
