The Fire Within is truly the quintessential study of existential anxiety in film; it contains themes such as misery, hopelessness and alienation. Erik Satie provides the melancholy and evocative score for the film which includes his Gymnopédie No. 1 and Gnossienne Nos. 1, 2 and 3 which really adds to the mood of the film.

What did you think of it?
