    You'll receive a payment every month starting in October.

    The fees are paid directly to the college if an applicant is successful when applying for a grant and they meet all other criteria.
    Depending on the amount of grant awarded, the applicant may have to pay a student contribution or part off and the amount the student is liable for must be paid in full at the beginning of the course or shortly after, depending on the colleges policy.

    If an applicant is successful is being awarded a maintenance grant as well, this is paid in 9 monthly instalments 1 month in arrears at a time.
