Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is going to be a hell of a finish when Rosberg's tyres go off

Be lucky if there's any racing before the end. Absolutely hilarious decision from Hamilton's side of the garage.

Just got interesting! Jaysus, good job that wheel tether did its job properly, that could have been very nasty.

Possible very unhappy podium for Lewis.

Pitting from a 10-second lead in Monaco. That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. :P

Id say he'd rather drop to 4th than stand up there fuming and watching Rosberg

Scandalous decision from Merc/Hamilton there - just dont see why.

Can't decide what I want. Want Vettel to win but at the same time him putting a move on Rosberg gives Hamilton a chance. :P

Times like that the stewards should be making quick decisions, tell Ricciardo to give Kimi the spot back straightaway. Otherwise there'll be a penalty later which would be too much.

Of all the races for the team to lose their driver a GP, it had to be Monaco, the biggest race of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,397 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Will be interesting to see how Hamilton handles this mistake by team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

Hamilton just crashed into the 3rd place sign. This should be an interesting podium.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer person

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Vettel showed class there, looked sympathetic toward Lewis.

  • Registered Users Posts: 147 ✭✭Thidp

I am delighted for what happened, the season needed something like that.

    10 points now.

Lewis gone off to skull the champers by himself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

    Haha, Vettel is happy!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,397 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Lewis did make good effort to congratulate Nico on podium and in interview, Nice happy Vettel :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,399 ✭✭✭KillerShamrock

I dont blame hamilton dominated the race then the team who he just signed a new 3 year contract with make such a blunder!

The team thought the gap Hamilton had was "different" than what it was. They asked Hamilton about his tyres, he said they had no more grip left. The VSC was active, they chose to pit. Then the SC was called. The team messed up, and so did Hamilton. They thought he had more time, and he ran his tyres out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

    Lewis very disappointed naturally.
Nico very happy but making sure Lewis knows how lucky he was to win.
Vettel is happy, had to laugh at the end of the interviews when he interrupted given the downbeat stuff from the Merc drivers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,991 ✭✭✭Shane732

A bit of unreliability now for Hamilton would be great.

Pretty funny end. Most entertaining monaco grand prix I've watched in recent years.

Just looking at the replays of verstappen's crash.... those marshals behind the crash barrier got VERY lucky. Had verstappen ramped over the kerbs and got some air time, the car would have been straight into them!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,378 ✭✭✭HighLine

Did anyone else think Lewis was going to do a Senna and walk home when he stopped before the tunnel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,397 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

1 second more and Hamilton probably would have been out ahead of Rosberg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Grim.

Sky F1 are devastated LOL! Poor Ted's head is about to explode
