It's gotta be Matt for sure. He gets my vote too for the clean sweep.

Bam Bam. Nothing against Bobby, but I just think Beast from the East is the better man for this.

Quite unmemorable but it always seemed like Hardy loved holding the title.

    Hardy.

Bam Bam for me too. I didn't rate Bobby Lashley back then at all

I am Vince McMahon and I choose Bobby Lashley.

    Gotta be Lashley.

His jumping through the cage onto Umaga is probably one of the most underrated OMG moments in recent times.

Punk. Similar to Superfly earlier, I have minimal memories of Steve Corino.

    Corino

CM Punk. I could never stand Corino

CM Punk, short stint but made the title feel important and it was important for his career in WWE.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I think he could have done well if he had been in Philadelphia in the mid 1990s with all of them.

Zeke for me, purely because I don't remember El Matador as ECW Champ (I do remeber him in the WWE mind)

Plus, Zeke was the last ECW Champ so...

Zeke for me too for the same reasons

Big Zeke gets my shout too. Never saw Tito Santana in ECW or heard anything about him in it either.

Mikey for me, a sentimental favourite.

The Franchise because well, he's the Franchise.

Awesome mic skills, and not too shabby in ring either

    Shane Douglas for me too

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Shane Douglas. He was the man in ECW when I first heard of it in PWI back in 1997. I hadn't even seen any footage of the promotion, but it was clear that he was the top dog there.

So now it's the Second Round and we've got rid of a few pretenders. Let's see which of the remaining 16 are going to be potential contenders. We'll stick with three votes to advance as it's ticking along at a nice pace.

    Jack Swagger

    The All-American American

Dreamer, hands down and without a shadow of a doubt.

Tommy Dreamer's name is synonymous with ECW he has to go through not to mention his amazing feud with Raven

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,553 ✭✭✭Blue_Dabadee

    Dreamer as well.

The Dream is over for Jack as Tommy Swaggers into the quarter finals. Yep, the puns are back, did you miss them? Next up is a battle of two stocky sawn-off monsters.
