Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yellow my ass. Ref is a bottler.

Saracens look dangerous whenever they get the ball. Ulster don't look particularly dangerous and have made some silly mistakes. This is going to be tight. I would like Ulster to have more points on the board having had the wind in their favour.

    Red all day IMO.

Trimble could have been paralysed, that was the easiest of red card decisions. Could not believe the yellow, they bottled that big time.

Only saw it now. That is a red.

Munsters VDH got a 2 week ban, so this one has to be on a par with that at least.

That's another great turnover by big Nick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That was excellent defence from Ulster. The forwards are having to work very hard. Henry replaced by Wilson - HIA.

Oh FFS, Billy no arms. Card.

......in slow-mo, maybe tht's harsh. Certainly looked like a card to me in real time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭A-Train

Thought it was a yellow, BT strongly disagree

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 841 ✭✭✭Journeyman_1

Harsh yellow imo. Big opportunity for Ulster now though. A try would be massive!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

This is a real bonus for Ulster. They need to get something from this YC period.

    Great try, lovely off load

    Try to Saracens

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That was clinical from Saracens. Very good offload. Too easy. Ulster not on the ball at all in defence.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,290 ✭✭✭aimee1

    sensational offload

I fear for Ulster here. They haven't looked like scoring a try.

What a foul looking night it is in Belfast.

    Brilliant from Farrell

game over. ulster defence is shocking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ah FFS Ulster not at the races. That's two tries for Saracens during the YC period. Saracens are formidable. Some lovely play from them, in fairness.

I was driving home from there earlier, it was sleeting down quite heavily

Sarries are well deserved off their lead - Ulster never threatened to score a try

Some remarkable ball handling from Sracens in the conditions.

I remember when Irish teams used to be decent....

If I was in Guantanamo, watching BT coverage of Saracens winning is what would be playing in my cell

Jacksons kicking has been truly woeful. Handing territory to Sarries by going too far and allowing them to dictate things.

They should go for a BP here.

I think he is kicking from positions he wouldn't normally kick from - desperate measures being taken.

While Ulster were better, they were never hugely better than this in recent years and certainly not with anything approaching consistency.

Saracens have always been very strong in the areas where Ulster have been mediocre or in the areas that nullify Ulster's strengths. Disappointing that Kiss hasn't been able to address this given the overwhelming amount of reference material available from recent years.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭blackdog1

If Ulster had a lineout they'd be dangerous......

I was sure they would, and they may regret it...

  • Registered Users Posts: 184 ✭✭Redsock

This is disappointing but no real surprise. We lack quality across the field and have no discernible style of play.

Keeping Ulster from getting a BP is as important to them, especially on the road. Saracens are as pragmatic and dull as they come but it works.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,661 ✭✭✭Crimsonforce

lots of players gone missing tonight.
only players who come out with any credibility is nick williams and rory best

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Yellow for Rory again.

Saracens roll the try over. Too easy. That's their BP.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Is that a worse defeat than the Leonster one last week? Leinster were poor but dominated aspects of the game so genuinely have something to build on there. What did Ulster deliver today? They were second best everywhere.

Ulster totally outclassed, Saracens look good. Im not sure any of the provinces could have beaten them tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Yep, Saraces are going to go far in this competition.

Very disappointing from Ulster. No score in the second half. Some very poor defence. Just about as depressing as Leinster's loss last weekend.

i hate watching the Irish provinces on bt sport

Excellent result for Saracens, have been in the hunt for a few years and looked comfortable for most of the night. For Ulster this has been coming, they've been in reverse for at least a couple of years. Big job ahead for Les Kiss. Like Leinster in a pool like this its a long way back.

Absolutely disgusted. Walked out at about 74 mins I was so furious.

An overlap with 14 men, ridiculous.

Kiss, keep that kicking rubbish for Ireland. And this side to side crabbing is nonsense.

    Piss poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Kiss had just said Ulster put absolutely no pressure on Saracens in the second half.
