Refereeing this weekend

    8 red cards in hurling all were correct in my view.

    Colm Lynos did as well as he could in Thurles, should have been more added time but huge pressure and a very difficult match to referee in my view overall I was happy with his performance.

    Alan Kelly was correct with both the reds he gave in Laois I feel.

    Cathal Mc Allister had it tough in Carlow but he got the red cards I saw correct I thought and will probably be rewarded with further appointments.

    Padraig Hughes delivered what I think was the most solid performance very pro active refereeing good use of yellow and black cards, perhaps he missed a penalty but it wasn't the easiest call.

    Whats your thoughts?

    Only saw the Clare Limerick game, but both reds were technically correct decisions.
    Thought he generally did ok

    Agreed the first more clear than the second biggest let down for me was the added time-particular emphasis on it because of the scoreline but still important in every game.
