New PC Build €1000 budget

I am looking at getting a new PC. Its main function will be gaming and some work related stuff (photoshop and other applications).

My existing machine has died. So I need to get somethgin soonish.

Anyway any suggestions would be welcome.....

1. What is your budget? [€1000]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming workstation]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Yes see below.
[4 no. hard drive all 1TB, Hitachi and samsung eSata. I dont need to house all the HDD, although it would be handy if there was a hot swap module]
[1 no. 120GB Crucial SSD]
[1 generic DVD]
[6GB of RAM Kingston]
[2 no. Samsung Mointors]
[Mouse]

5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [N/A]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1200] [N/A]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [No]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes - In the future]

8. How can you pay? [Credit Card]

9. When are you purchasing? [about 1 week]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Maybe. I am based in Dublin so if you want to give me a price I would appreciate it]

Some other Wish list items.
Should I consider a modular PSU or hybrid. Not too sure of the output I will need as I will not need to hook up all those HDD. Maybe someone can help.
Also looking for a MB that is water cooler compatible. I want it quite.
I will need a new CASE. Want a fairly cool looking one if possible.

Has 16gb RAM here, mightn't need any if 6 is enough. Motherboard has 8 Sata ports incase you somehow require more than 6 :pac: PSU has enough for all your HDDs with a nice bit of overhead. CPU can't be overclocked you won't need to.

A cool looking case is ambiguous so I've left you €150 there for a nice one. A sound insulated case like a Nanoxia or Corsair might remove the need for a watercooling set-up, mines almost silent when the GPU fan turns off with 3 case fans. Nanoxia DS3.

Just a quick question. Why go with the xeon. Surly an i5 or i7 would be better?????

Xeon is essentially an i7 without onboard graphics. Can't be over clocked either but that can be a good thing, keeps prices way down.

I'd stick with the 290 but 970 would be my second recommendation. Don't like nVidia but that's just me
