Is Splatfest for Europe this weekend??

Splatoon v1.3.0 out next week:

Splatfest Amendments
– If it takes too long to find another team, you can fight the same team again.
* Even if playing against the same team, Splatfest Points can still be earned.
* Only the opposing team’s results will be counted at the conclusion of a Splatfest battle.
– If you begin the software before the Splatfest start time, an adjustment will be made where you may be able to begin 5 minutes before the start time (from the start time, you can participate in all areas).
* The purpose of this is to reduce congestion that would occur immediately following the start.
– The number of Super Sea Snail increases when you acquire the “Charisma” and “Eternity” titles when the team that voted loses.

Special Weapon Adjustments
– Inkstrike: When used, the mark that shows the impact zone has been greatly changed.
– Kraken: If attacked in the middle of using this, they will be repelled stronger than before.

Gear Power Adjustments
– Ninja Squid: The speed of the squid dash has been made slower than before.
– Stealth Jump: The time taken to charge has been made longer.
– Ink Resistance: The negative effects of movement and damage that enemy ink has on you when walked on has been reduced.

Other:
– Various game content has been fixed to better customer experience.

So the new mode is available from tonight. Wonder if we get to choose it or will it be random so when we select Ranked Battle we could get Splat Zones or Tower Control. I assume we can choose which Ranked Battle mode we want to do, but never know

Tower Control can be really intense. Especially when it goes the distance.

Yeah, I went in with an Aerospray at first and had no luck. Switched to the Luna Blaster and had more luck. It's a very different game from Turf Wars or even Splat Zones. It's an entirely different approach needed.

Good thing I've maxed mine out so. Probably why they give it to you so early.

i doubled checked there, apparently you can change everything else apart from the t shirt, you can change head gear and shoes.
EDit: also the lorries are in for me too!

Going to be on for half an hour when it starts. I'll get a proper run at it tonight and for a while tomorrow. Just had a few turf war games and got my personal best highest score... so the eye is in, and the AeroMG is warmed up

Hate to say it, but I think Cali and Marie are lip syncing.

Got off to a great start. 6 wins in a row with a team of 4 Aerospray MGs, then we got split up. My team then had at least 1 wall painter. and later was me(level 16) a level 20, a 7 and a 10 against 4 20s. We lost. But got a few back there now before turning off

Jaysus, not fancying Team Pop chances here. Yet to loose a match.

I got disconnected earlier, and when i connected again, the matches stopped being exclusively Rock vs Pop, and began to be Rock vs Rock.
Do you think they realised that they couldn't have a constant straight Rock vs Pop, so tweaked the matchmaking to just be Rock vs whoever is available?
